1:It was a lovely morning, a perfect start for Jack’s birthday.
2:One day, when Jakey went outside to play, he found a hedgehog(刺猬)in a window well(井).
and, not only… but also, neither… nor…, both… and…
表递进
even, besides, what's more
表转折
but, however
表原因
since, because, for
表结果
so, therefore, as a result
表让步
though, although, even though/ if
例1:Even though it was 1 , the hearts of the people in the town were warmed by a simple act.
A. cold B. hot C. warm D. cool
2:The spirit of Lei Feng teaches us to be kind, selfless, and 10 . It tells us that even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference in someone’s life.
A. helpful B. harmful C. wonderful D. peaceful
3:They didn’t give us any food and they 7 had flowers.
A. hardly B. suddenly C. exactly D. finally
4:In our busy lives, it’s common to leave out those around us who need help. 7 , it is these small acts of kindness that form the warm undertone(底色)of our society.
A. However B. Therefore C. Besides D. Luckily
前句说忽略是常见的,结合设空处后“it is these small acts of kindness that form the warm undertone (底色) of our society”可知,本句强调善举的重要性,用However表示转折,故选A。
The whole family got into the car and headed for the 21 . After arriving there, ...They put up the tent and spread out the beach blanket(毯子). Jack 22 .the cake and played the game...with his parents on the beach.
A. beach B. hill C. farm D. forest
由第二段画线部分the beach blanket和on the beach确定A项为正确答案。
A moment later, dark clouds came and it began to rain. The family 26 packed up everything and decided to leave.
A. lazily B. secretly C. quickly D. strangely
