"How many means of transport are mentioned?" (Two: rail, air). 2. "What are the benefits of high-speed rail?" (Connect, convenient). 3. "What are the benefits of air travel?" (Make world smaller, cheaper, efficient, learn cultures). Students read the first text more carefully and complete the mind map (as shown in PPT) with the benefits of rail and air travel. Draw students' attention to the red words in the text (e.g., easier, more convenient, most extensive, cheaper, smaller). Elicit the rule: we use comparatives and superlatives to describe changes and make comparisons. Students read the second text about shared transport. In pairs or small groups, they list the pros and cons of bike-sharing/car-sharing mentioned in the text.  Post-reading 8’ Based on the pros and cons list, hold a class discussion: "Do you think the benefits of shared bikes outweigh the drawbacks? Why?"
