A Memorable Hiking Trip
Last weekend, I went on a hiking trip with my friends in the nearby mountains. We were all excited as we started our journey early in the morning. The sun was shining brightly, and the air was fresh.
As we walked along the trail (小径), we saw beautiful wildflowers blooming on both sides. The path was a bit steep (陡峭的) in some parts, but we encouraged each other to keep going. After a few hours of hiking, we reached a small clearing (林间空地). We decided to take a break there and have some snacks.
While we were resting, one of my friends, Jack, noticed a small cave not far away. Curiosity got the better of us, so we decided to explore it. The cave was dark, but we used the flashlights on our phones to light the way. Inside, we saw some interesting rock formations.
However, as we were coming out of the cave, we realized that we had lost our way. We tried to retrace (折回) our steps, but everything looked the same. Panic (恐慌) started to set in, but then I remembered that I had a compass on my phone. Using the compass, we managed to find the right direction and finally made it back to the main trail.
We were all relieved and happy when we reached the starting point again. This hiking trip taught us the importance of being prepared and staying calm in difficult situations.
