compare … with …与 compare … to …
compare .. with ...
compare … to …
e . g . Let ' s compare this picture with / to that one .
People always compare teachers to candles .
※Sometimes writing less takes more effort than writing more .

- Divide students into groups of three (role-playing Jenny, Brian, and Danny). Ask them to role-play the dialogue, paying attention to emotions and intonation.
- Ask comprehension questions:
What does Brian start writing?
Why does Danny think writing a poem is easier?
What’s Jenny’s opinion on writing a story and a poem?
- Summarize the main idea: Different characters have different views on whether writing a story or a poem is easier.
Step4. Poem Appreciation: "The Donut"
- Show pictures of donuts and ask: “Do you like donuts? Let’s read Danny’s poem about donuts.”
- Read the poem aloud first, then have students read after you, focusing on rhythm and rhyme.
- Guide students to find rhyming words: spring-thing, feet-eat, mouth-south, stay-day.
- Analyze the imagery . Ask:
How does Danny feel about donuts?
What images come to your mind when you read this poem?
※Although a poem has fewer words , it ' s not always easier to write 。
although conj .
