I. Teaching Objectives
1. Knowledge Objectives
Students will master vocabulary and phrases related to future careers (e.g., pilot, engineer, take steps, grow up, stop... from, travel around) and understand the passage about Tiantian's future aspirations.
Students will be able to comprehend the passage, complete related tasks like mind - mapping and passage - filling, and talk about their own future plans.
2. Ability Objectives
Improve reading and writing skills: Extract information from the passage to complete mind maps and fill in passages.
Enhance speaking and critical thinking skills: Discuss Tiantian's future plans and share personal future aspirations with partners.
3. Affective Objectives
Inspire students' thinking about their future careers, help them realize that they can take active steps to overcome difficulties in pursuing their dreams, and encourage them to set and strive for their future goals.

Step 2: Reading & Comprehension
Activity 1: Reading for Main Ideas
Have students read the passage and answer the questions: “Is Tiantian sure about her future?”, “How will she deal with her fear of heights?”, “What will Tiantian's plane be like?”. Check answers to ensure students grasp the main content of the passage.
Activity 2: Deep Reading
Ask students to read the passage again carefully and find details about Tiantian's future career ideas and her way to overcome difficulties.
Step 3: Task Completion & Practice
Activity 1: Mind - map Completion
Ask students to read the passage again and complete the mind map about Tiantian's future (an airplane pilot - a cool job: help people travel around...; one problem: fear of heights; other ideas: engineer - make planes).
Activity 2: Passage Filling
Have students complete the passage with the phrases “take steps, grow up, stop... from, travel around”. Check answers and discuss how the phrases fit the context.
