B
Like
many

idea
about
heroes.
At
some
point,
we
al
wonder
if
we
need
a
hero
and
what
a
hero
realy
is.
Although

heroes
generaly
share
a
number
of
characteristics(特
点)
which
give
us
courage
and
make
us
want
to

A
hero
does
something
worth
talking
about.
A
hero

a

story

tel
and
people
think
highly
of
it.
But
a
hero
is
not
just
the
person
with
great
fame(声誉).
A
hero
has
power
larger
than
himself.
Some
people
want
to
live
like
a
hero,
and
they
have
to
experience
life
with
new
and
further
meaning.
A
sure
test
for
would-be
heroes
is
whom
they
serve.
What
do
they
want
to
live
for
or
die
for?
If
the
answer
suggests
they
serve
only
their
own
fame,
they
may
be
famous
persons
but
not
heroes.
A
hero
has
vision
from
the
mountaintop.
He
has
the
power
to
move
people.
He
creates
new
possibilities.
Without
Gandhi,
India
might
stil
be
part
of
Britain.
Without
Martin
Luther
King,
African
Americans
might
take

restaurants,
go
for
walks
in
different
parks,
and
shop
in
different
stores
because
of
the
different
colours
of
their
skin.
There
might
be
changes
in
society
without
a
hero,
but
the
speed
of
changes
would
be
rather
slow.
Heroes
make
our
society
develop
so
rapidly.

just
to

Three

his

They
make
a
big
difference
to
the
world.
2 ,
there
are
“everyday
heroes”
in
our
daily
life.
They
may
not
be
so
3
to
the
public,
but
these
common
people
are
also
working
hard
to
build
a
better
world.
4
them
is
Sun
Jun.
Sun
Jun
comes
from
a
poor
vilage.
The
vilagers
used
to
have
no
enough
food.
He
knew
much
about
5 .
He
learned
to
save
food
at
an
early
age.
When
he
was
a
colege
student,
he
found
that
the
problem
of
food
waste
was
more
and
more
serious.
He
started
to
6
unsold
food
from
restaurants
and
stores
for
homeless
people.
After
graduating,
Sun
Jun
joined
a
volunteer
7 ,
which
was
set
up
in
Shanghai.
The
purpose
of
the
organization
is
to
build
a
bridge
between
people
who
are
ready
to
help
others
and
those
who
are
8 .
It
works
by
colecting
and
providing
free
food
for
the
poor,
the
disabled
and
so
on.
Suns
team
developed
a
phone
app.
It
can
show
how
much
food
is
left
in
restaurants
each
day.
Usualy,
the
workplace
of
volunteers
is
not
far
from
the
restaurants,
9
they
can
walk
there
to
get
the
food
for
free.
Then
it
can
be
given
out
in
just
a
few
10 .
6
So
far,
Sun
and
his
team
have
done
something
meaningful
to
society.
Not
only
have
they
saved
a
lot
of
food,
but
theyve
also
helped
some
people
11 .
More
volunteers
and
restaurants
join
them.
The
smal
actions
of
these
heroes
can
have
a
12
influence
than
we
can
imagine.
Why
does
Sun
do
13
these
things?
He
says,
“Thanks
to
Yuan
Longping,
we
are
almost
no
longer
short
of
food.
We
need
to
think
about
how
to
stop
waste.
Theres
a
long
way
to
go,
but
I
wont
14
halfway.
Its
just
the
beginning.
We
stil
have
15
to
do.”

五、
(2024·临沂)任务型阅读。(共5小题,每小题2分,满分10分)
After
a
game
like
footbal,
the
players
might
get
an
X-ray
in
the
hospital
if
they
hurt
their
legs
or
arms.
A
dentist
can
use
X-rays
to
look
at
teeth.
And
airport
workers
use
an
X-ray
machine
to
check
objects
before
a
plane
leaves.
Nowadays,
X-ray
technology
is
widely
used
in
medicine
and
other
fields.
X-rays
were
first
discovered
by
a
German
scientist,
Wilhelm
Conrad
Röntgen(1845-1923).
He
found
them
quite
by
accident
in
1895.
One
day,
he
discovered
that
an
unknown
kind
of
radiation(放射线)
could
hardly
pass
through
hard
objects
like
bones(骨头).
Later,
Röntgen
took
a
photo
of
his
wifes
hand.
It
clearly
showed
her
ring
and
her
bones.
That
was
the
first
X-ray
photo
in
the
world.
Why
is
there
an
“X”
in
the
word
“X-ray”?
Its
because
Röntgen
couldnt
explain
exactly
how
it
worked.
He
just
knew
that
X-rays
were
new
and
useful
for
science.
In
fact,
X-rays
soon
became
an
important
tool
in
medicine.
With
the
help
of
X-rays,
doctors
could
see
inside
the
human
body
for
the
first
time
without
surgery.
Röntgen
was
awarded
the
first
Nobel
Prize(诺贝尔奖)
in
Physics
in
1901
for
his
discovery.
When
he
was
asked
what
he
was
thinking
at
the
moment
of
discovery,
he
replied,
“I
didnt
think.
I
investigated(研究).”
Röntgen
gave
away
his
Nobel
Prize
money
to
his
university.
And
he
never
took
out
any
patents(专利权)
on
X-
rays,
to
make
sure
that
the
world
could
freely
make
use
of
his
discovery.
根据短文内容,回答下列问题。
1.
Where
is
X-ray
technology
used?
2.
When
were
X-rays
first
discovered?
3.
Whose
hand
was
in
the
first
X-ray
photo?
4.
Why
did
Röntgen
name
the
ray
“X-ray”?
5.
What
do
you
think
of
Röntgen?
