W:Human beings speak around 7,000 languages.
However,most communication happens in a
small number of widely spoken ones. The
spread of international common languages
makes communication easier,but it also
means that some rarer languages are in danger
of dying out. Many times, the cultures that
spoke these languages have been held down,
and children do not learn the language of their
parents and grandparents.
Currently,there are about 2,000 languages
in the world with fewer than 1,000 native
speakers each.If nothing changes,around 3,500
languages are expected to die out by 2100.
To help preserve and protect these threatened
languages,some are turning to technology.
