For over 600 years, its beautiful designs and dazzling blue, green, and gold colors have made it a national treasure. In fact, it became so special that China added it to its Intangible Cultural Heritage list in 2006. Usually, making jingtailan needs many steps—using a hammer to shape a metal base you like (vases, plates, …), using metal wires (丝) to create some patterns and fixing them onto the metal base, filling the spaces with colored powders (粉末), firing 3—4 times until smooth, and polish the surface. Each step needs makers to be very careful and creative. The story of jingtailan begins long ago. During China’s Yuan Dynasty (about 700 years ago), this craft arrived through the ancient Silk Road, connecting China to the Middle East. But it became popular during the time of Emperor Jingtai in the Ming Dynasty. Back then, artists loved using a brilliant sapphire blue glaze (宝石蓝釉)—and since “lan” means “blue” in Chinese, people named it “jingtailan” (“Jingtai Blue”) to honor that era. Here is a story about two jingtailan masters. Several years ago, Li Jinglong and Guan Dian visited the Palace Museum in Beijing. There, they fell in love with jingtailan handcrafts (手工艺品). After that, they decided to open a workshop to let more people know about it. This led them to start Handcraft Addicted. People can make their own jingtailan there. Since 2018, they have opened three workshops in Beijing. Chang Yunqi has been going to Handcraft Addicted in her free time for about five years. “The thin metal wires look like the pencil lines I draw on canvas (画布). It is challenging but also interesting,” she said. Li and Guan enjoy teaching people how to make traditional jingtailan. “We have many guests like Chang who come to our workshop weekly, not only to create art but also to get away from their busy lives,” said Li. As more and more people learn about this ancient craft, jingtailan has been a symbol of Chinese cultural heritage. Jingtailan workshops and shows held around the world serve as a bridge, connecting people from different countries. 24. Why was this ancient craft named “jingtailan” historically? A. Because it used blue glaze from sapphire gems. B. Because it became famous during Emperor Jingtai’s rule. C. Because “lan” means “treasure” in Chinese. D. Because it arrived through the Silk Road during the Yuan Dynasty. 25. What is the correct order of making jingtailan? A. ⑤②①④③ B. ⑤①②④③ C. ①⑤②④③ D. ②⑤①④③ 26. What does the word “it” refer to in Paragraph 4? A. The jingtailan craft. B. The Palace Museum. C. Their workshop “Handcraft Addicted”. D. The ancient Silk Road. 27. What is the best title for the passage? A. The Colorful History of Jingtailan B. How Jingtailan Connects the World C. Making Traditional Jingtailan: A Complex Process D. Saving Jingtailan: From Ancient Treasure to Modern Workshops 【答案】24. B 25. B 26. A 27. After that, they decided to open a workshop to let more people know about it.”可知,“it”指代前文提到的“jingtailan handcrafts”,即景泰蓝手工艺品。故选A。 【27题详解】 最佳标题题。通读全文可知本文既介绍了景泰蓝的历史渊源、制作工艺,也讲述了现代传承故事,最全面体现古今传承的标题是选项D。故选D。 C Ned wanted to escape(逃跑) from the Nautilus while we were in the Mediterranean. However, he had no chance. The submarine raced into the Atlantic in two days mostly staying deep under the water. I saw many shipwrecks along the way. Some were very old. Others were recent. As it surfaced, the submarine turned north. Ned came to my room. “Tonight!” he said. “Tonight? I wasn’t ready for this.” “Tonight,” he repeated, “we are a few miles off the Spanish coast. It will be dark, and the wind is blowing in the right direction. You agreed, Dr. Aronnax, to escape with me. Remember your promise!” I said nothing. “At nine, I will go to the stair with Conseil. You will wait in the library for our signal. Everything is ready.” “The sea is quite rough,” I said. “Yes, but if we don’t go tonight, we will soon be too far from land!” I knew he was right. I was also frightened. What would Captain Nemo do if he discovered our plan or if we failed? I had not seen him for several days. Now I didn’t want to see him. He might notice that I was nervous, so I stayed in my room. At seven o’clock, I had dinner in my room. Only two hours to go! I was so nervous that I felt sick. I had a headache. I walked up and down in my room. As I looked around, I saw that Captain Nemo’s bedroom door was open. The room was empty. It was eight o’clock, and I went to the dark library. As I waited, I felt a bump as the submarine(潜水艇) came to rest on the ocean floor. The library door opened and Captain Nemo entered. He told me that we were in Vigo Bay. A Spanish admiral had burned his own ships there in 1702 to prevent the British Navy from taking the huge amount of gold they were carrying. He took me to the window. I found the crew of the Nautilus were gathering some gold from the sand and bringing it to the submarine. Now I knew how the Captain became so rich. “But of what use is all this gold to you?” I asked. “It’s of no use to me!” he replied, “but it can help people who are suffering.” Ned came to my room the next morning. “We were unlucky. The Nautilus stopped just as we were about to escape.” I told him what I had learned about Nemo and the gold. I hoped that Ned would change his mind, but he didn’t. The Nautilus was going away from the land. Escape was impossible now. Ned was disappointed, but I was not. At eleven that night, I was surprised that Captain Nemo invited me to go for a night walk under the sea. —Taken from Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea 28. What reasons did Ned Land give for wanting to escape that night? a. They were close to the Spanish coast. b. There had been a lot of shipwrecks. c. It would be dark. d. The wind was blowing in the right direction. e. The sea was quite peaceful. A. abc B. acd C. abd D. ace 29. Why did Dr. Aronnax remain in his room? A. He wanted to prepare well for the escape. B. He wanted to have dinner in his room. C. He was too nervous to see Captain Nemo. D. He was very excited about this escape. 30. Which of the following shows the correct order? ① The submarinc passed many shipwrecks. ② Captain Nemo invited Dr. Aronnax for a walk. ③ The Nautilus moved away from land. ④ The crew brought gold to the submarine. ⑤ Ned asked Dr. Aronnax to escape. A. ①-②-③-④-⑤ B. ②-①-③-④-⑤ C. ①-④-⑤-③-② D. ①-⑤-④-③-② 31. What will be written about if there is another paragraph at the end? A. Ned and Dr. Aronnax would have a fight about whether they should escape or not. B. Dr. Aronnax would tell Captain Nemo the reasons why they want to escape. C. What would happen during their night walk under the sea. D. Where Captain Nemo would carry the gold. 【答案】28. B 29. C 30. D 31. C 【解析】 【导语】本文是摘自《海底两万里》的片段,主要讲述了主人公Ned试图逃离潜艇的故事。 【28题详解】 细节理解题。根据“we are a few miles off the Spanish coast. It will be dark, and the wind is blowing in the right direction.”可知,天要黑了,离西班牙海岸只有几英里,风的方向也合适,所以要在那晚逃跑,故选B。 【29题详解】 细节理解题。根据“Now I didn’t want to see him. He might notice that I was nervous, so I stayed in my room.”可知,他太紧张了,不敢见尼摩船长。故选C。 【30题详解】 细节理解题。根据“I saw many shipwrecks along the way. ”可知,沿路看到了很多沉船,所以①排在第一位,排除B选项。根据“You agreed, Dr. Aronnax, to escape with me. Remember your promise”可知,Ned让Aronnax博士一起逃跑,所以⑤排在第二位,排除A和C选项,故选D。 【31题详解】 推理判断题。根据“I was surprised that Captain Nemo invited me to go for a night walk under the sea.”可知,尼摩船长邀请“我”晚上到海底去散步,所以接下来会讲述他们散步发生的事情,故选C。 D Many cultures have stories of talking trees that give advice as well as warnings to people. Alexander the Great and Marco Polo were said to have visited such a tree in India. And in some modern stories, such as the film Avatar, trees can communicate with animals and people. With our long believing that talking plants are unreal, new research has found something amazing: It turns out that plants can really communicate. It has been known that plants use chemicals (化学物) to communicate with each other. This happens when a plant, say a bean plant, gets attacked (袭击) by insects. The plant gives off chemicals from the leaves that are being eaten. This is like a warning, or a call for help, “I’m being attacked!” When another bean plant feels the chemicals from its poor neighbor, it starts to give off its own, different chemicals. Some of these chemicals drive insects away. Others attract (吸引) insects—the wasps (黄蜂)! The wasps kill the insects that are eating the bean plant. Scientists hope to learn more about this plant warning system, so that we can use it to grow crops in a more scientific way. More surprisingly, plants also use sounds to communicate. People can’t hear these sounds, but plants are making them. Some plants make noises with their roots. Corn and chili plants do this. They also “listen” to the noises from other plants. A chili plant can tell if a neighboring plant is helpful, or unfriendly. Some trees make clicking noises when there is not enough water. Most surprisingly of all, plants have an amazing system of communication that can link nearly every plant in a forest. Scientists call this system “wood wide web”. It is in some ways like the Internet we use. This wood wide web is linked underground by fungi (真菌). Using this wood wide web, ________. However, it may lead to bad effects. Just like our Internet, this wood wide web has its own version of “cybercrime (网络犯罪)”. Plants can steal food from each other, or spread something harmful to attack other plants. Scientists are learning more every day about the secret ways in which plants talk to each other. Maybe we will know enough about plant communication to be able to “talk” with them ourselves in the near future. Let’s wait and see. 32. Why does the writer mention “bean plant” and “wasps” in paragraph 2? A. To explain how plants develop new chemicals. B. To prove all plants can attract wasps. C. To give a specific example of chemical communication. D. To compare beans with other crops. 33. According to the passage, plants communicate with ________. A. smells, chemicals and sounds B. chemicals, sounds and wood wide web C. feelings, chemicals and fungi D. chemicals, sounds and fungi 34. The underlined word “this” refers to ________. A. using sounds to warn others B. listening to the noises C. making noises with roots D. making clicking noises 35. Which of the following can be put in ________? A. plants can share information and even food with each other B. scientists can help stop the plants from attacking each other C. plants can draw insects to attack other plants D. scientists can build a system to link almost every plant in a forest 【答案】32. They also ‘listen’ to the noises from other plants. A chili plant can tell if a neighboring plant is helpful, or unfriendly. Some trees make clicking noises when there is not enough water.”可知,有些植物用它们的根发出声音,玉米和辣椒植物就是这样做的,因此“this”指代的是“用根发出声音”。故选C。 【35题详解】 推理判断题。根据文章第四段“Using this wood wide web ... However, it may lead to bad effects. Just like our Internet, this wood wide web has its own version of ‘cybercrime (网络犯罪)’. Plants can steal food from each other, or spread something harmful to attack other plants.”可知,利用这个“木网网络”,植物之间可以分享信息甚至食物,但也可能导致不良影响,如植物之间可以互相偷取食物或传播有害物质来攻击其他植物。因此,选项A“植物之间可以分享信息甚至食物”符合语境。故选A。 Ⅴ.口语应用。(每小题2分,共10分) 阅读下面对话,从7个选项中选择5个恰当的句子完成此对话,并把答题卡上对应题目的答案标号涂黑。 A: Hi, Emma! Research shows that people with strong resilience have a 35% higher chance of staying mentally healthy during long-term stress. Resilience isn’t about avoiding stress, but managing it effectively. This kind of mental training makes the brain better at dealing with future problems. Brain scientists compare it to training a muscle: when you face the right amount of challenges regularly, your mind gets better at changing. Let’s explore more scientific methods to strengthen this ability. Working out is known by everyone as a key way to build resilience. When you are running or swimming, your body makes something called BDNF—a protein that’s important for brain growth. This natural process helps keep your emotions steady (稳定的) and makes your thinking clearer. At the same time, this chemical change not only improves your mood but also makes your mental skills stronger. To get the best results, experts suggest doing 30 minutes of exercise every day, along with relaxation methods like deep breathing. People achieve success through meaningful relationships. Strong social circles act like safety nets for your mind when hard times come. So, building good connections with others should be a top goal. A long-term study from Stanford University found that people with strong support from others get over emotional troubles 50% faster than those who are alone. Interestingly, in recent tests, talking to people online through video calls worked 80% as well as meeting them in person. How you look at difficulties shapes how resilient you are. Scientists suggest turning extreme negative thoughts like “____41____” into positive ones such as “____42____”. A 2022 study found that feeling thankful every day can lower stress hormones by 25% in just three weeks. Also, paying attention to small daily wins helps you develop a positive way of thinking. 41. Different cultures have their own sleep patterns. The National Institutes of Health, a US medical research agency, divides today’s sleep cultures into three common patterns: monophasic (单相的), biphasic (双相的) and polyphasic (多相的). In many Western countries like the US, Germany and the UK, monophasic sleep is the most common. This means people continuously (连续地) sleep for seven to eight hours each night. This habit has developed due to fixed working hours and modern lifestyles in these countries, as explained by Sanders-Kauffmann, a German company that makes bedroom products. However, in some southern European countries such as Spain, Italy and Greece, a biphasic sleep pattern is more popular. Here, people sleep twice a day. They take a short break in the early afternoon, known as a siesta (午休), to rest during the hot midday period. The siesta tradition started in Italy when the Romans would take a break to eat and rest in the middle of the day, usually between 1 pm and 3 pm. In Japan, people often nap (打盹) in public or at work. It is a common sleeping practice called “inemuri”, which is a form of polyphasic sleep. While sleeping on the job might be seen as lazy in many Western countries, inemuri is considered a sign of hard work in Japan, The New York Times said. These different sleep habits show that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to sleep. Instead, sleep patterns are influenced by cultural values, traditions and local climate, as noted by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. Summary Different cultures have different sleep patterns. ____70____? Monophasic sleep, common in the US and UK, means ____71____. Biphasic sleep in Spain and Italy includes a midday rest to ____72____. In Japan, polyphasic “inemuri” at work is seen as ____73____. These differences show sleep habits are shaped by culture and climate. 【答案】70. Here, people sleep twice a day. They take a short break in the early afternoon, known as a siesta (午休), to rest during the hot midday period.”可知,在西班牙和意大利,双相睡眠模式更受欢迎。在这里,人们每天睡两次。他们在下午早些时候短暂休息,称为午休,在炎热的中午休息。故填rest during midday heat。 【73题详解】 根据第四段“While sleeping on the job might be seen as lazy in many Western countries, inemuri is considered a sign of hard work in Japan, The New York Times said.” 1.A.Fine, thank you. B Jingtailan is one of China’s most famous traditional crafts. A. ⑤②①④③ B. ⑤①②④③ C. ①⑤②④③ D. ②⑤①④③ 26. Saving Jingtailan: From Ancient Treasure to Modern Workshops C Ned wanted to escape(逃跑) from the Nautilus while we were in the Mediterranean. A. smells chemicals and sounds B. chemicals, sounds and wood wide web C. feelings, chemicals and fungi D. chemicals, sounds and fungi 34. The underlined word “this” refers to ________. A. using sounds to warn others B. listening to the noises C. making noises with roots D. making clicking noises 35. Which of the following can be put in ________? 第1页/共1页 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
