My mum has always told my sister and me to help others. One day last week I was walking back to my home and I passed by an old lady who seemed to be in trouble. I turned back and asked if she was OK. She explained that she was sick and had to struggle to walk with her shopping bags. I offered to carry her things and walked her back home, but she refused because she didn’t want to give me any trouble. I told her it didn’t matter and her home was on my way home. It was a white lie. As I walked with her she talked with me and introduced herself. I in turn told her my name. She asked if I knew Ray Robert. I was shocked and said yes, that was my dad. It turned out that this lady was my dad’s neighbor who had looked after my dad and his sisters when their mother died thirty years ago. My dad had often spoken of her but I had never met her as she had moved away with her family. It was a lovely moment for both of us. When I got home and told my dad about the incident, it made him cry. I was so moved. I am glad that my small active kindness ended in a chance meeting that meant so much to the two people.

When Ryan Weimer, 38, a nurse in Portland, found out that his son Keaton had a serious illness at just nine months old, he was quite worried. The illness could take away Keaton’s ability to walk, eat, or even breathe. Weimer decided to give his son the best life if possible.
When Keaton was three years old, he told his father he wanted to be a pirate (海盗) for Halloween. Knowing that, Weimer brought out the woodworking tools immediately. Instead of simply making his son some pirate clothes, Weimer built a wooden, five-foot-long pirate ship around Keaton’s wheelchair (轮椅) , with black sails and a treasure box on it. Keaton’s costume (服装) not only made many local people know him, but at once changed the way people saw him.
“People saw my son before they saw his disability,” Weimer said. “For me to see that—I got choked up (哽咽). I knew that this was something I wanted other families to be able to experience.”
8 years ago, Weimer started Magic Wheelchair, a not-for-profit (非营利组织) that builds and gives special costumes to disabled children between 5 and 18. Weimer and other volunteers worked hard for disabled children. Best of all, Magic Wheelchair is growing and more and more volunteer teams have joined it. “Our plan is to build costumes for every kid in a wheelchair,” Weimer says. “Besides all the costumes and the smiles, we build connections and community. It is a dream come true to be able to help people.”

A.other families to learn from him
B.more people to give him a helping hand
C.people to help cheer up the disabled kids
D.people to pay attention to his son instead of his disability
39.Which paragraph tells us the plan of Magic Wheelchair?
A.Paragraph 1. B.Paragraph 2.

根据第二段中的“Keaton’s costume not only made many local people know him (基顿的服装不仅让很多当地人认识了他。)”
根据第四段中的“Magic Wheelchair is growing and more and more volunteer teams have joined it. (“魔法轮椅”正在发展壮大,越来越多的志愿者团队加入了进来。)”以及Weimer说的话中的“Our plan is to build costumes for every kid in a wheelchair (我们的计划是为每一位坐轮椅的孩子制作服装。)”
