Step 1: Warm-up & Lead-in

1. Greet and review: "Good morning! Last class, we said ‘Jane is lucky because she has a family.’ Who can repeat that?" (Ask 2-3 students, then praise them: "Great!")

2. Lead-in: Show the hospital picture card. Ask:

Do you know this place? It’s a hospital.

Do we want to go there often?" (Guide students to say "No.")

Then say: "Today we’ll learn how to stay away from the hospital. Our lesson is Lesson 6: Stay Away from the Hospital.")

Step 2: Presentation  

1. Teach key words:

  I had a very interesting week ! I had appendicitis.I don ' t have it anymore out.I don ' t have an appendix ,either ! The doctor took it out ！

(Repeat and let students make a "sick face".)
