Step 1: Lead-in
1. Lead-in: Hold up a picture of a child with a toothache (holding cheeks, looking sad). Ask: "Look! This child looks sad. What’s wrong? He has a ______." (Guide students to guess, then teach "toothache" and write it on the blackboard.)
3. Introduce the lesson title: "Today, we’ll learn Lesson 2: A Visit to the Dentist. Because if you have a toothache, you need to see the dentist!"
Step 2: Presentation
1. Teach key words:
- Dentist: Show the dentist picture. Say: "
This is a dentist. A dentist helps people with toothaches.
She always refuses to go to the dentist.
One of her teeth is rotten .
Her rotten tooth is really aching .

(Ask students to pretend with you and repeat.)
2. Teach core sentences:

- Give each pair a role: one is the dentist, one is the patient.
