Line graph is often used in writing a report. Do you know how to read a line graph?
Writing a report on population change
The title shows the topic is about the world's population from 1750 to 2050.
Horizontal Axis (横轴)
It shows “Year” from 1750 to 2050.
Vertical Axis (纵轴)
It tells us how many billions of people there are.
Data Trends line (数据趋势线)
The dotted line(虚线) is a prediction about the future population.
The solid line(实线) shows the real population numbers. These are what happened in history.
Before 1850, the world population grew slowly.
After 1850, the world population grew quickly.
