Pronunciation(发音) is sometimes different. Americans usually sound(使发声) the /r/ in words like “bird” and “hurt”. Some speakers of British English do not sound the /r/ in these words.
There are differences between British English and American English in spelling(拼写). For example, “colour” and “honour” are British English while “color” and “honor” are American English.
These differences in grammar, pronunciation and spelling are not important, however. The differences are small, and people from both countries can easily talk to each other.
