“Neither do I.”
Finally, they both agreed that the person who spoke first should get the door closed. The cold wind blew strongly through the house. They shivered (发抖) but didn’t say a word.
A thief (贼) went into the house and got Mary’s gold rings. The woman was worried and angry, but she didn’t speak. When the thief took away all the money, David and Mary kept silent.

“Well, how do you like it?” the barber said when he finished.
Again, no reply.
“Well, I think it might be better to cut this all off completely,” the barber advised. This was against David’s will, but he was not going to speak.
“Now,” the barber finally said, “you must pay me.”
But David had no money: “What?” the barber stormed. He went to the fireplace, got some soot (烟灰) and blew it all over David’s face.

Photos of movie stars and famous sports stars with pizza helped it become more and more popular, and that caused competitions. Today, we have the World Pizza Games. Last Sunday, my parents were very tired after a week’s work. So I decided to do the housework to give them a break.

Doing housework made me realize how hard my parents work. It also made me feel proud that I could contribute to the family. From then on, I often help with housework. It’s a meaningful experience that I’ll never forget.
