Earle Dickson noticed that his wife often got herself cut when cooking, so he created a bandage for her. The early bandages were long and had to be cut to fit. In 1924, the ready - to - use bandage took the place of the old ones. Later, bandages with cartoons and animals were introduced. The healing process became relaxing for children.
