Unit 2 F Project教学设计 I. Teaching Objectives Learn to create a bingo game to get to know classmates better and make new friends, understanding the steps of game creation. How to play: Take turns to pick a question card, read the question aloud, and answer it. Listen carefully and fill in your classmate’s name if the answer is on your bingo card. 3. Key and challenging points Collaborate in groups to prepare question cards and possible answers about chosen topics (hobbies, family, favourites, etc.). Create bingo cards with correct answers and play the game following the rules. Interact with classmates during the game to make new friends and get to know each other better. III. Teaching Procedures Learning activities: Step 1 Discuss topics (Step 1) Class discussion T: As a class, discuss what kind of topics you can include to know more about your classmates. Then in groups, pick one topic (hobbies, family, favourites, habits, talents). Guide the class to discuss topics and then divide Ss into five groups. Ask each group to pick a topic. Step 2 Prepare question cards (Step 2) Group work: Question cards T: Work in five groups. As a group, think of two to three questions about your chosen topic. Write each question on a card. Ask each group to brainstorm questions about their topic and write them on cards. Invite some groups to share their questions. Step 3 Write possible answers (Step 3) Group work: Possible answers T: As a group, write down five possible answers to the questions. There should be 25 answers for the whole class. Ask each group to write possible answers for their questions, ensuring there are 25 answers in total. Check the answers as a class. Step 4 Create bingo cards (Step 4) Individual work: Bingo cards T: Create the bingo cards. Work individually. Draw 5x5 squares on a piece of paper. Fill in each square with an answer from Step 3. Leave the centre square as a “free” space. Guide Ss to draw their bingo cards and fill in answers. Walk around to provide help if needed. Step 5 Play the game (Step 5) Class activity: Bingo game T: Play the game as a class. Follow the rules: Take turns to pick a question card, read the question aloud, and answer it. Listen carefully and fill in your classmate’s name if the answer is on your bingo card. The first one to complete a row in one of the three ways shouts “Bingo!” and wins the round. Organize the class to play the bingo game, encouraging interaction and communication among Ss. IV. Assessment of Teaching Effectiveness Assess groups' collaboration and question - making skills by observing their work in Steps 1 - 3. Observe whether Ss can create correct bingo cards in Step 4. Evaluate Ss' participation and interaction during the bingo game in Step 5, checking if they can communicate effectively to make friends. This project helps Ss learn to create a bingo game for friendship - making, improving collaborative, creative, and social skills. V. Design Purpose Discussing topics and preparing question cards train Ss' collaborative and creative thinking skills, helping them plan the game content. Creating bingo cards allows Ss to apply the prepared answers and practice organizing information. Playing the game provides a fun and interactive way for Ss to interact with classmates, enhancing communication and friendship - making skills. VI. Share the bingo game with your family and teach them how to play. VIII. Teaching Reflection The project effectively engaged Ss in collaborative game creation and interaction. Groups showed good creativity in preparing questions and answers. However, some Ss might have faced difficulties in interacting confidently during the game.
