Use linking words to organize ideas and make speech clear during discussions. III. Teaching Procedures Learning activities: Step 1 Lead - in Show pictures of different school subjects (as in D1). T: Look at these pictures. What subjects do you think the speakers will talk about? Invite Ss to guess. Then say: Today, we will listen to conversations about school subjects and teachers, and talk about our own favourites. Step 2 Listening Work on Activity D2 T: Listen and choose the best answers. Play the audio. Ask Ss to listen and choose the correct answers. Then check the answers. Work on Activity D3 T: Listen again and complete the table. Play the audio again. Ask Ss to fill in the table with information about names, subjects, and reasons. Then check the answers. Work on Activity D5 T: Four students are talking about their teachers. Listen for the adjectives they use and circle the words in the box. Play the audio. Ask Ss to circle the adjectives. Then check the answers. Work on Activity D6 T: Listen again and match the speakers' names with their opinions. Then fill in the blanks with the words from D5. Play the audio again.
