· Greeting and opening【开场问候】
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. I’m xxx . It’s a real honor for me to share my teaching ideas here. Today my presentation will be about the teaching design of Section A1a~1d of Unit 3, Grade 7, from the textbook of Go for It. And my sharing falls into 6 main parts, including the analysis of teaching material, learners, teaching goals, important and difficult points, teaching and learning methods, and teaching procedures.
Part I Analysis of teaching material【教材分析】
The text is analyzed from three aspects. They are what, why, and how?
【What】
The topic of this whole unit is “Keep fit”, which mainly involves knowledge and skills related to sports and fitness.
【Why】
The intention of this lesson is to help students clearly understand the importance of keeping fit and how to keep fit.
【How】
1. Use pictures to show sporting goods.
2. Practice listening in the scene of the sports center
3. Guide students to pay attention to their own sports habits and healthy lifestyle.
Part II Analysis of learners【学生分析】
Now let’s look at the lesson from the aspect of learners.
-【What they know】Before this class, students have learned some simple expressions about sports.
-【What they wonder】 Get detailed information about sports through listening.
-【What they will learn】With the help of teacher, students will be able to talk about sports.
Part III Teaching goals【教学目标】
As for the teaching objectives, this lesson is designed to achieve the following targets:
- First, language abilities
Learn to use the vocabulary and sentences to learn about sports and share how often you do sport.
Learn to use possessive adjectives and pronouns to identify ownership.
- Second, learning abilities
Learn to master the ability of listening for details.
Learn to work in pairs.
Learn to get information about school rules while talking.
- Third, thinking qualities
Learn to stimulate the interest of English learning.
Learn to lead Ss to express their ideas creatively.
Part IV Important and difficult points【重难点分析】
Important points:
Learn to use the vocabulary and sentences to learn about sports and share how often you do sport.
Difficult points:
Learn to master the ability of listening for details.
Part V Teaching and learning methods【教学方法】
Speaking of the teaching methods, I mainly applied approaches like situational teaching method and communicative language teaching.
About learning methods, that are independent learning and cooperative learning
Part VI Teaching procedures【教学过程】
Now comes the most important part, the teaching procedures.
