邀请 Jim 参加“戏曲进校园“活动
How’s it going? I’m writing to invite you to our school’s
“Chinese Opera Enters the Campus” event, which will take
place on July 10th at 3:00 p.m. in the school auditorium.
At the event, you’ll enjoy performances like Beijing
Opera, Kunqu Opera, and modern plays adapted from
Chinese classics, which highlight the elegance of Chinese
literature. What’s more, after the performances, you can
join an interactive workshop, where you’ll not only try
singing opera but also experiment with symbolic gestures
and traditional face-painting techniques!
As an exchange student passionate about Chinese
traditions, this is a great opportunity for you to
experience Chinese opera culture as well as to engage with

interested!

以“How to Read Widely”为主题的英文稿件
It’s useful for us to read widely. First, reading widely
helps improve our vocabulary and knowledge. It also
broadens our minds and helps us understand the world
better.
I usually read for at least 30 minutes every day. I
choose different materials like English newspapers,
storybooks, and magazines. When I meet new words, I try
to guess their meanings first, then check the dictionary if
necessary.
My advice is: Start with topics you enjoy. Reading
becomes fun when you like the content. Also, keep a
notebook to write down useful words and sentences.
Practice regularly, and you’ll benefit a lot!

介绍学校近期举办的“校园生活技能大赛”
I’m glad to receive your letter asking about our school’s
“Campus Life Skills Competition”.
The competition was held to help us improve our self-
care ability and develop a sense of labor. There were
various events such as cooking, tidying up rooms and simple
home appliance repair. I took part in the cooking contest,
where I made tomato and egg noodles. Though it was a bit
tiring, I felt proud when my dish was praised.
Through this activity, I realized that mastering basic life
skills is important for our growth. It also taught me to
value labor and appreciate the hard work of others. Now I
often help my parents with housework at home.Looking
forward to hearing about your school activities.
