Ⅰ. Analysis of Teaching Material
This article describes the author's experience of learning tai chi and focuses on the author's psychological changes towards tai chi, the history of tai chi and the Chinese culture behind tai chi that the author has explored. From the perspective of the layout of the article, the article takes time as the main line, describes the physiological and psychological changes before and after learning tai chi, and introduces the origin, factions, and related Chinese traditional culture of tai chi.
Ⅱ. Analysis of Learning Situation
1. Students have already acquired a certain level of English reading ability and vocabulary, and are capable of understanding English articles of moderate difficulty.
2. Students may have some understanding of tai chi, but most of it remains superficial and they have little knowledge of its history and cultural connotations.
3. As high school students, they are in a stage of great academic pressure and have a certain demand and interest in how to find balance between study and life.
4. Students may have certain difficulties in analyzing text structures and understanding deep meanings, which requires the guidance of teachers.
Ⅲ. Teaching Aims
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. figure out the structure of the text;
2. have a better understanding of tai chi including its history and the culture behind it;
3.describe the changes in the author's interest in tai chi and explain the reasons;
4. complete the writing task about "Finding a balance__________________".

1. First, AI digital characters of Zhang Sanfeng and Chen Wangting make a brief self-introduction. Then T asks Ss to read paragraph two and fill in the blanks.
Then T show the pictures about “White crane spreading its wings” and “Golden rooster standing on one leg” to reflect nature’s balance.

通过对文章作者练习太极拳的态度变化过程的总结,引发学生思考我们的人生就像练习太极拳一样充满了各种对立面。从而引导学生站在自己的角度思考如何在学习和生活中找到平衡。正如本文和蔡元培先生给我们的指引,我们很多同学已经找到了他们的平衡。通过展示课前录制的学生运动视频,让学生们觉察自己的哪些行为是带给自己平衡的。然后给学生提供一个写作框架,让学生将自己的感受和本节课所输入的知识结合起来,进行输出写作,从而引导学生关注身心健康,认识到在学习和生活中寻找平衡的重要性。

Teaching Reflection
1. This class adopted various teaching methods, such as task-based teaching, problem-oriented teaching, and situational teaching methods, to stimulate students' interest in learning and enhance their participation. Students were able to think actively, discuss and share, achieving the expected teaching goals.
2. During the teaching process, it was found that students were very interested in the historical and cultural connotations of tai chi. By guiding students to deeply analyze the text, the students' cross-cultural understanding ability was cultivated. However, in terms of time arrangement, the writing part might be a bit tight. Some students failed to fully complete the writing tasks and need to adjust the time reasonably in future teaching.
3. When students were discussing "how to maintain a balance between study and life", they put forward many valuable viewpoints, which demonstrated their thinking ability and concern for their own lives. This part of the content helps students connect the knowledge they have learned with real life and improves their application ability.
4. The blackboard design is simple and clear, highlighting the key points, which is helpful for students to sort out knowledge. However, in future teaching, the blackboard writing can be further optimized and some visual elements can be added to enhance its appeal.
