本单元是人教版英语八年级下册Unit10,本单元属于“人与社会”主题范畴,“社会服务与人际沟通”和“社区生活”主题群,涉及子主题“志愿服务与公共服务”“家乡和社会的变迁”“历史的发展”。本课是一节听说课,以“Amy如何处理旧物”为主线贯穿,通过庭院销售、捐赠和保留旧物三种方法将听和说结合起来,从而使学生能够更加整体地参与听说活动训练,加深对现在完成时特别是现在完成时表示持续性动作或状态的用法。
学情分析
本单元的中心话题为谈论论所有物以及家乡变化,在话题中掌握现在完成时的用法。学生通过8、9单元的学习,已经对现在完成时有了初步的概念,通过之前的学习,学生对物品的单词和谈论物品的句式有了一定的了解,话题贴合学生的生活,对于处理旧物也有自己的经历和想法,这也给本节课的听和说提供了便利,学生有话可说,所以较易激发学生的学习兴趣。

教学目标
1.语言能力:
1.能学习并掌握:yard sale, soft toy, bread maker, scarf, 等词。
2.能熟悉运用”询问拥有所属物的时长。
2.文化意识:
教育学生正确处理并充分利用自己的废旧物品,珍惜自己周围事物的变化,感恩社会,回报社会,关爱他人,培养学生节俭节约的品质。
3.思维品质:
通过学习所有物的谈论以及处理,培养学生乐于助人的思维品质,通过调查身边学生所有物的处理方式和原因,培养学生的发散性思维和创造性思维。
4.学习能力:
1、能够通过听材料获取相关信息,回答问题,并能进行学习迁移。
2、能够谈论所有物和周围的物品。

Amy :Hi, Jeff. What do you want to do this weekend?
Jeff :My family are going to have a yard sale on Sunday.
Amy :A yard sale? Having a yard sale is not easy. Where will you have it?
Jeff : We will go to my uncle’s. He has a big yard.
Amy :OK.What are you going to sell?
Jeff :I have lots of storybooks.I like them very much but I won’t read them any more. I also have some toys like model plane.
Amy :By the way,How long have you had the model plane?
Jeff : I’ve had it for five years.
Amy :Oh! It must be like an old friend to you.
Jeff :Yes.And we will prepare for it on Saturday.Welcome to our yard sale.
Amy :OK. I’d like to. I also have some old things that are no longer useful. I can learn how to deal with them. Hope that your yard sale will be a big success!
