Dear Mr. Smith,
I hope this email finds you well. As the school sports meet draws near (随着校运动会的临近), I am writing to sincerely invite you to participate in a thrilling and engaging activity with our class—long rope jumping.
The event is scheduled for (定于) Nov. 10th at the school’s sports field. It’s a fantastic activity where two people swing a long rope rhythmically while others jump over it. As it requires our perfect collaboration (完美的配合), a practice session is to be arranged to familiarize you with (使……熟悉) the basic rules and techniques. Please let me know a convenient time for you this week. Do wear comfortable shoes suitable for jumping.
Anticipating seeing you jump with us soon!
Yours,
Li Hua

Around 5:30 a.m., I met my running group—the Los Angeles Road runners training team. I had trained with them for ten long months. That ten months left me with blisters (水疱) and backaches. But my pace leaders reassured me that no matter what, I should keep going. I knew my very first marathon was coming. More importantly, my husband and my daughter promised to wait for me at the finish line.
At about 6:30 a.m., I went to the starting gates and my excitement grew as the gun shot for the start and I was on cloud nine.
The first few miles were quite easy, but by mile 8 the pain was starting to spread all over my body, as if it were growing like a cancer. I had no choice but to slow down. Slowing down is much better than quitting, so I slowed down from my group and realized that the rest of this race was going to be just me and the road. Mile 12 brought about doubts whether I could even finish this race.
By mile 15, my pace had slowed even further. I reminded myself, “Just get to that finish line. Keep running, head held high.” Mile 18 brought me into familiar territory—my neighborhood. I had slowed to a walk by this point because my body didn’t want to move an inch. I wanted to just walk home. But I couldn’t because I had to keep going.
By mile 21, I had been told many times by audience, “You’re almost there. Keep it up!” The smile on their faces, and the determined look in their eyes made me realize how much they cared that I could finish. Left foot forward, now right foot forward. Every step I took, the intensity of the pain soaked (浸入) into every cell in my body. I’d been running for 4 hours with what seemed like no end in sight.
With just 4 miles left, I really wanted to quit.
Finally, the smiling faces of my family came into my sight.
次要人物:my husband, my daughter
过渡句:(协同原文第三段中的the pain was starting to spread all over my body)“我”全身疼痛,想到了丈夫和女儿的诺言(协同第一段中my husband and my daughter promised to wait for me at the finish line)。
With just 4 miles left, I really wanted to quit. My legs felt like lead (我的腿像铅一样), my lung burning with every breath. The pain was simply unbearable, and I wondered if I had what it took to inch to the end But then, the promise of my husband and my daughter echoed in my mind I thought about how proud they would be to see me finish and I could even picture the scene of them cheering for me. With the promise in my mind, I took a deep breath, wiped the sweat, and dragged my legs to keep going
Finally, the smiling faces of my family came into my sight. I quickened my pace (加快脚步), ignoring the pain that had burdened me for the last 21 miles. As I crossed the finish line, my husband and daughter dashed towards me, wrapping me in a warm embrace. At that moment, my eyes were clouded, my mouth wide open, breathing heavily. “Mom, you’re awesome!” shouted my daughter. As I saw the pride on her face, all the pain and suffering faded away, replaced by pure joy and accomplishment So, I had completed my very first marathon, and it was an experience marking a breakthrough in my life.

More importantly, my husband and my daughter promised to wait for me at the finish line
协同点1: 续写第一段可协同“my husband and my daughter promised to wait for me at the finish line”描写丈夫和女儿的诺言鼓励着“我”坚持跑;续写第二段可协同描写 “我”最终完成比赛,与家人团聚的场景。
But then, the promise of my husband and my daughter echoed in my mind.
As I crossed the finish line, my husband and daughter dashed towards me, wrapping me in a warm embrace.
协同点2:续写结尾可协同“I knew my very first marathon was coming.”
So, I had completed my very first marathon, and it was an experience marking a breakthrough in my life.
Mile 12 brought about doubts whether I could even finish this race
协同点3:可协同“the pain was starting to spread all over my body”描写“我”身体更剧烈的疼痛,更无法忍受,同时协同“Mile 12 brought about doubts”描写“我”对自己的怀疑。
The pain was simply unbearable, and I wondered if I had what it took to inch to the end.
Every step I took, the intensity of the pain soaked (浸入) into every cell in my body (强调了身体的极限状态). I’d been running for 4 hours with what seemed like no end in sight.
“我”在15英里时进一步放慢速度,提醒自己要坚持到终点。18英里时,进入熟悉的社区,身体几乎无法移动,但“我”仍然坚持。观众的支持让“我”意识到他们对“我”完成比赛的关心,尽管身体疼痛难忍,“我”还在坚持。
协同点4: 协同“my pace had slowed even further”可描写最后“我”加快步子, 协同原文中的mile 8, mile 15, mile 18, mile 21和续写第一段所给句中的just 4 miles, 可衔接描写“我”跑了21英里。
I quickened my pace, ignoring the pain that had burdened me for the last 21 miles.
协同点5:协同“the intensity of the pain soaked (浸入) into every cell in my body” (无灵主语句,全身疼)可描写身体的极限状态,如My legs felt like lead, my lung burning with every breath.
As I saw the pride on her face, all the pain and suffering faded away, replaced by pure joy and accomplishment.
