Section B Reading Singapore—A Place You Will Never Forget! 教学设计 一、课标分析 《英语课程标准》按照基础教育阶段英语课程分级总体目标的要求，对语言能力、文化意识、思维品质和学习能力四个方面分别提出了相应的具体内容标准，目标要求依据学生生理和心理特点以及他们的认知发展水平和情感需要，课程标准指出“新一轮的英语课程改革的重点就是要改变英语课程过分注重语法和词汇知识的讲解与传授，忽视对学生实际语言运用能力培养的倾向”，新课标进一步明确了要加强培养学生阅读理解能力的目标，并且明确提出要增加初中生的阅读量，通过英语阅读课的教学，可以更好地落实新课标的要求，进而提高学生的英语综合素养。 二、教材分析 1.单元主题 本单元的主题是“人与社会”涉及“社会、历史与文化”，主要学习用现在完成时谈论过去的经历。Section A侧重于用现在完成时引导学生分享自己去过的有趣场所，Section B在section A的基础上继续延伸与拓展，引导学生能就旅游话题用英语谈论过去的经历。而本语篇属于人与社会主题范畴，涉及旅游，引导学生学会分享、观察生活，体会旅游的乐趣，热爱大好河山，养成积极向上的生活观。 2.语篇研读 What:本篇语篇从语言、位置、人口、食物、动物园、天气几个方面介绍新加坡，旨在让学生对新加坡的社会、历史、文化全方位的了解。 Why:作者通过对新加坡的介绍，作者想要吸引更多游客，尤其是中国游客去新加坡旅游，引导学生能用英语介绍新加坡，旨在培养学生观察生活、分享生活，热爱国内外名胜古迹，体会旅游的乐趣，养成积极向上的生活观。 How:该语篇以说明文的方式介绍了新加坡的语言、位置、人口、食物及动物园。其中第一段介绍了新加坡的语言、位置，第二段介绍了新加坡的食物，第三段介绍了新加坡夜间动物园，第四段介绍新加坡的气温，明线是在介绍新加坡，暗线则是揭示新加坡的社会、历史和文化进而对学生进行热爱旅行教育。文章结构清晰，便于读者梳理概括信息，形成结构化知识。 三、学情分析 八年级的学生，已经有了一定的英语基础，在学习了用现在完成时表达已经发生的事情,能谈论最近发生的事件和经历，这有利于阅读活动的展开。但该课的篇幅较长并且大多数学生在阅读的过程中不能自觉使用阅读策略，因此，教学前让学生先预习教材中的新词汇，在教学中有意识地对学生进行了预测、略读、跳读、细读等阅读策略的指导，同时对问题的设置注意梯度，以学生的最近发展区为依据，尽量考虑到让不同程度的学生积极参与课堂。 四、教学目标 1.能够读懂文章的主要内容，梳理有关新加坡的事实信息，提取文章的细节信息，理清文章的结构。 2.通过阅读语篇，能够深入语篇挖掘文章背后隐藏的新加坡的社会、历史、文化、地理特征，对其进行评价分析，能够提升从不同角度解读语篇和看待问题的能力。 3.通过阅读、分析，能够抓住与游客紧密相关的信息，能够讨论并且介绍新加坡。五、教学过程 Lead-in T: Class begins.let’s continue to learn Unit7 Reading part.
