教学实施过程:
1.In science fiction novels or films, there are future means of transport. Have students
discuss some future means of transport and share their ideas of whether they can become a reality.
In Isaac Asimov’s Prelude to Foundation, an air-taxi is mentioned, which is a flying taxi
with autonomous features.
2. Have students observe different samples of leaflets and discuss the following questions.
(1) What is a leaflet? What is its function?
It is a small book or piece of paper, often with only one or two folded pages. The main
purpose is to attract the reader by providing key information on a particular subject.
(2) What makes a good leaflet?
A good leaflet should include an engaging title, pictures and fun details that can attract the reader.
3. Have students discuss the futuristic means of transport and choose one to research. Ask
students to use their imagination and creativity to think of other means of transport.
4. Have students search for detailed information about their chosen futuristic means of

transport according to the following aspects.
1)Basic information 2)Advantages 3)Challenges related to its development
5. Have students read the sample on page 41 and discuss the following questions.
(1) What aspects are included in the leaflet about flying cars?
A brief introduction, basic information, advantages and challenges.
(2) What methods does the leaflet use to make it more appealing?
In terms of the writing techniques, the leaflet uses a lot of verb-ing forms to make it short
and brief. In terms of the layout, it employs subheadings to make its structure clear, as well
as a breathtaking picture and an eye-catching title.
6.Have students organize the information they have collected and make a leaflet,reminding
them to employ the methods used by the sample.
7. Have students proofread the draft to make sure there are no mistakes. When the leaflet is
finished, each group member should read it carefully and give suggestions on how to
improve it.
8. Have students present their work to the whole class.
9.Have students evaluate the leaflet and give comments.
10. Have the whole class vote on which group is the best.
11.Have students improve their leaflet and put it up on the wall.
