I. Warm - up & Experience Talk (7 mins)

Daily Question

Ask students: “What’s the most interesting place you’ve ever been to? Why? ”

Let 3 - 4 students share, e.g., “I’ve been to the Beijing Palace Museum – saw amazing old treasures.”

Lead - in to 1a

Say: “Today we’ll talk about places like museums, parks, and practice the present perfect tense – ‘Have you ever been to a museum? ’ ”

II. 1a Activity – Ranking Places to Visit (10 mins)

Instruction

Show 1a places (space museum, history museum, etc.). Tell students: “Rank them from 1 (most want to visit) to 6 (least). Share your ranks with a partner.”

Example: “I rank space museum 1 – love space! History museum 2, art museum 3... ”

Student Activity

Pairs rank and discuss. Walk around to encourage: “Explain why – ‘Water park is 5 because I prefer museums.’ ”
