2a Pre - listening
Show 2a numbers (6,300; 5,000; 5,464; 300) and tell students: “These numbers describe China/US facts. Predict which number matches each fact (river length, country age).”
2a While - listening
Play 2a audio. Tell students: “Listen and number the facts [1–3] in order. Focus on numbers and what they describe.”
Play the audio twice. Pause to let students write.
2b Pre - listening
Explain 2b: “Fill in 2a blanks with the correct numbers. Check if your 2a order matches.”
2b While - listening
Play 2a audio again. Students fill in numbers:
Yangtze: 6,300 km; Yellow River: 5,464 km
China: 5,000+ years old; US: 300 years old

III. 2c Activity – Conversation Practice (10 mins)
Instruction
Show 2c sample dialogue: “A: Did you know China is one of the oldest countries? B: Yes... older than my country.”
Tell students: “Use 2a facts to make conversations. Compare China and the US (age, size, rivers).”
