Daily Dialogue
Invite two students to perform a dialogue using Grammar Focus structures:
A: What’s the highest mountain in the world?
B: Qomolangma. It’s higher than any other mountain.
Praise and highlight superlative (highest) and comparative (higher) usage.
Grammar Reminder
Write on the board:
Superlative: the + (adj. + est) / most + adj. (e.g., longest, most popular). Used for “the most... in/of ”.
Comparative: (adj. + er) / more + adj. (e.g., longer, more popular). Used for “than ”.
II. 4a Activity – Adjective Form Practice (10 mins)
Instruction
Present 4a words (big, much, popular, long, old, high) and sentences. Tell students: “Fill in blanks with correct forms (comparative or superlative).”

Student Activity

Instruction
Show 4c example: “What is the highest building in our city? ”. Tell students: “Write 5 comparison questions (e.g., about rivers, cities, animals). Then ask your partner.”

Students write questions:
What’s the longest river in Asia?
Which city is more popular, Beijing or Shanghai?
What’s the tallest animal in the world?
