As the saying goes," well begun is half done !" Tom woke up and found many people standing around him . When he was told what John had done for him , tears started welling up in his eyes and rolling down his cheeks. We drove through several states and saw lots of great signs along the way.I looked out of the car window, winding rivers, lofty mountains, sunny beaches, deep valleys, holding me entirely in their fascination. 1.The letter in sb's hand felt like a ticking time bomb, its contents unknown but surely holding the power to change everything. 2.The sudden silence that filled the air after the [event] was more deafening than any noise, leaving sb on edge, waiting for the next thing to happen. 1.As sb looked at the [object or scene], memories of that fateful day came flooding back, as vivid as if they had happened just yesterday. 2.The familiar smell of [scent] transported sb back to his/her childhood, triggering a flood of emotions and long - forgotten memories. 从句式上归纳 几种常见的开头方式 一、以非谓语动词(短语)、with复合结构或独立主格结构开头 1.(2025·全国II卷)In a class discussion, I was invited to explain the meaning of my name. Standing up, I felt a mix of nervousness and excitement. 2.(2023·新高考Ⅰ卷)I went to my teacher’s office after the award presentation. With excited tears in my eyes, I thanked him again, adding that it was he who let me get a taste for writing. 3.(2022·新高考Ⅰ卷)We sat down next to each other, but David wouldn’t look at me.Dropping his head, he was in low spirits. 二、以名词性从句、状语从句或定语从句等从句开头 1.(2025·全国I卷)I realized it was me who was at fault. I had been so focused on keeping the party under control that I failed to consider how important Toby was to my brother during this difficult time. 2.(2021·浙江高考·1月卷)I was stuck for five or six minutes though it felt much longer. How I wished I had not acted so foolishly, making myself a laughing stock of my family! 3.(2021·浙江高考·1月卷)I was stuck for five or six minutes though it felt much longer. My brother came up with an idea that he could cut the pumpkin with a knife. (2018.06浙江高考读后续写范文摘录)Para 2: We had no idea where we were and it got dark. Exhausted and hungry, I wondered if we could find our way back. 2.(2023·新高考Ⅰ卷) A few weeks later, when I almost forgot the contest, there came the news. Unexpectedly, I beat a lot of participants and won the first prize. 3.(2021·浙江高考·6月卷)I was surprised that my dad allowed me to use the money as I wished. Excited and overjoyed, I rushed into my room and lay in bed thinking about how to spend the money. 四、以倒装句、强调句等句型开头 1.(2022·浙江高考·6月卷)As they came in my direction, I put on my brightest and happiest smile.Nervous as I felt, I did my utmost to keep myself calm and hand out the delicately-wrapped meal to those in need, with my hands trembling. 2.(2021·浙江高考·1月卷)That video was posted the day before Halloween. It was my brother who did that for amusement. When the girl was walking in the garden , a snake appeared suddenly. At the sight of the snake, she screamed at the top of her voice. 【点评】句中at the sight of 意为“一看到... 1.I didn’t leave the injured dog.And then the inner voice whispered to me, “go all out to save the poor creature.” 2.At that moment, I can’t help but shed tears of gratitude. 1.Then appeared a rescue boat with a pole attached to it.“Don’t worry, the rescue boat is on the way.” one of the men shouted. 2.The car abruptly stopped in front of him. “Get into the car.” Paul shouted at Mac. My mother had been preparing the dinner all the morning.Although she was kind of tired , she felt very excited , expecting us to come back. Para.1 It’s a perfect family summer seaside holiday. , some white clouds floated across the blue sky.
