句式特点
1.读后续写和应用文的句式的区别
应用文为了使内容表达的更准确,采用高级词汇和高级句式可根据自己的英语水平展现自己的实力。读后续写最重要的特征之一是:续写的故事和前文要有高度的契合度,这个契合度不仅指内容,还有语言风格的契合度,这样以来,续写故事一定要遵从前文的语言风格,不能你认为什么句式高级就用什么。要关注前文,承接前文的语言句式风格,所以我们准备充分的句式种类,在成文时,我们要审时度势,信手拈来,要与前文进行自然流畅的语言衔接。
2.句式多样的重要性
在读后续写中使用花样的句式增加语言亮点,是提高表达档次、提高续写得分的有效途径。 如果多样句式使用得当, 可以使句子长短结合, 错落有致, 为文章增分。 我们在使用时一定要注意灵活多变, 使用得体, 以防出现语法错误和画蛇添足的现象。
升级技巧指导
高级句式1:Doing ...,主语+谓语……
doing作状语,逻辑主语与句子的主语一致,构成主谓关系;有时可以在doing前加before, after, while等。
①He was trembling in a blanket and he said, “I'm cold.”
→Trembling in a blanket, he said, “I'm cold.”
②I sat back in a chair and fell asleep.
→Sitting back in a chair, I fell asleep.
③When I saw no one noticing us, I put the Christmas present down and left.

高级句式2:主语+谓语……, doing ...
doing作伴随状语,与句子的谓语动词同时发生,逻辑主语与句子的主语一致,构成主谓关系。
①“Here,” he said.At the same time, he handed the coins to the gatekeeper.
→“Here,” he said,handing the coins to the gatekeeper.
②For a few moments, I just stood there.I held that ten-dollar bill and I wondered what to buy and who to buy it for.

高级句式3: 独立主格结构
(1)主语+谓语……, 逻辑主语+doing/done ...
(2)逻辑主语+doing/done, 主语+谓语……
逻辑主语与doing构成主谓关系,或者逻辑主语与done构成动宾关系,有时前面有介词with,在句中常作状语。
①He stood there and tears of gratitude were welling up in his eyes.
→He stood there, (with) tears of gratitude welling up in his eyes.
②Her father was lying on his back, and his dog was trapped under the truck.
→Her father was lying on his back, (with) his dog trapped under the truck.
高级句式4:“表情感类的形容词,主语+谓语……”或“主语+谓语……,表情感类的形容词”
情感类的形容词在句中作状语,说明主语的情感状态,可以转化为:表情感类的形容词,主语+谓语……。有时可以放在句后:主语+谓语……,表情感类的形容词。
①He was eager and excited, and she waved her hands, trying to attract others' attention.
→Eager and excited, she waved her hands, trying to attract others' attention.
②To Annie's delight, surrounded by his classmates, Mark seemed like a rock star, and he was cheerful and proud.

高级句式5:方式副词,主语+谓语……
方式副词在句中作状语,修饰谓语动词,一般放在宾语后,但有时根据需要可以放在句首,有时放在实义动词前。
It was fortunate that the cat was still alive, though badly injured.
→Fortunately, the cat was still alive, though badly injured.
高级句式6:完全倒装:地点状语或表示运动方向的副词+谓语(vi.)+主语(名词)
该句型是一个完全倒装句,主语必须是名词,谓语动词为不及物动词,常见的表运动方向的副词有:in、 out、 off、 away、 up、 down、 outside、 inside等。
①An old woman sat ahead.
→Ahead sat an old woman.
②The crowd went away one by one.
→Away went the crowd one by one.
高级句式7:强调句:It was+被强调成分+that+(主语)+谓语……
除了强调句,在突出某一成分时,还可以用部分倒装句。
He knew what had happened then.
→It was then that he knew what had happened.
→Only then did he know what had happened.
→Not until then did he know what had happened.
高级句式8: 非限制性定语从句
We'll also spend some fun time together, singing, dancing and playing games.We hope it will make them happy.

一、画龙点睛的形容词、副词
贴切的形容词(短语)或副词(短语)放句首或句末,可使句子更加生动形象,感情色彩更为强烈浓厚。

五、独具风格的独立主格结构
独立主格结构由两部分组成,前一部分是名词或代词,后一部分是非谓语动词(不定式、现在分词、过去分词)、形容词、副词、名词或介词短语等。前后两部分具有逻辑上的主谓关系。此结构本身不是句子,在句子中作状语,表时间、原因、条件、伴随、目的等。独立主格结构是简化了(省去with)的with复合结构,亦可使句子简洁、紧凑。
