“by+doing 形式” 表示方式、方法
“by + 动名词(doing)” 是初中英语中常用的结构,主要用来表示做某事的方式、方法或手段,意为 “通过……;靠……;用…… 方式”。
“by” 可以用来表示采用某种方式、手段或途径,它后面可以跟名词、代词,也可以跟动名词(动词 - ing 形式)。在本单元中,我们的学习重点是 “by” 后面接动名词的用法。

in + 语言

她会用英语唱歌。

in + 文字 / 符号
The notice is written in red ink.
通知是用红墨水写的。
He drew a cat in pencil.
他用铅笔画了一只猫。
2.表示 “用…… 材料 / 工具”
in + 材料
The table is made in wood?(× 错误:材质用 of,此处 in 强调 “用木材制作的方式” 时,正确表达为 The table is made of wood,但 in 可用于 “write in wood” 表示 “在木头上写”)
She wrapped the gift in paper.

介词 with 作为方式介词时,主要表示 “用…… 工具 / 手段”“伴随…… 状态” 等,强调通过具体的工具、身体部位或伴随的情况完成动作。
1.表示 “用…… 工具 / 物品”
with + 工具名词
We cut the cake with a knife.
我们用刀切蛋糕。
She writes letters with a pen.
她用钢笔写信。
注意:此处的 “工具” 是具体的实物,区别于 in 所接的 “材料”(如 in ink 用墨水,强调材料性质)。
2. 表示 “用…… 身体部位”
指通过身体的某个部位完成动作,后接身体部位名词。
He pointed to the map with his finger.
他用手指着地图。
The baby is hitting the table with his hands.
