Step 2 Work on Activity 1 1.Let students look at the pictures and answer the questions：“What behaviours does each picture show?”and “Are these behaviours safe?” 2.Ask students to brainstorm what risks they might face when using the internet. Step 3 Work on Activity 2 and 3 1.Have students read the online guide quickly to check the answers. 2.Ask students to read the guide again carefully.This time，they need to complete the notes about online safety rules. 3.Check the answers. Step 4 Work on Activity 4 1.Have students discuss the questions in Activity 4 in groups. 2.Ask some students to share their answers and check the answers. Step 5 Think and share 1.Have students work in group and think the questions：“Why does the writer mention a situation from the past at the beginning?” “Why do people need to make new rules?” and “Can you think of other important rules for online safety?” 2.Ask some groups to share their ideas. Step 6 Work on Activity 5 1.Guide students to analyse the structure of the online safety guide. 2.Present the steps for writing a rule list for new things of modern life. 3.Help students choose a new thing of modern life，like online shopping or using AI.Then，guide them to do research and take notes based on the given questions. 4.Have students write their rule lists.Walk around the classroom to offer writing guidance. 5.After students finish writing，ask them to check their rule lists. 6.Invite some students to share their rule lists with the class.Encourage other students to listen carefully and give feedback.
