In many African countries:在许多非洲国家,介词短语作地点状语;drought:干旱,作主语;often:经常,作状语;leads to:导致、造成,作谓语;crop failures and water shortages:作物歉收和水资源短缺,作宾语。
A. Excuse me, how can I get to the Fulan Hospital from the airport?
B. Excuse me, how can I get to the Fulan Hotel from the airport?
A. Parents are very strict with us, especially about the homework.
B. Parents are not strict with us, especially about the housework.
【答案】A
对比译文可知,四句的区别在于动词短语“are strict with”和“are kind to”及名词“homework”和“housework”。 严格要求:be strict with sb.,家庭作业:homework。 故选A。

1. Keep calm and find shelter right away. The best places are under stable furniture or against strong walls.
2. Stay away from windows, mirrors, and heavy objects that may fall.
3. If you are outdoors, move to an open area away from buildings, trees, and power lines.

Remember, quick thinking and proper actions can save lives. Let’s all stay safe and look out for one another.

因为:because of→ due to
保持:stay→ keep
马上:right away→ at once
为……做好准备:be prepared for→ get ready for
The best places are under stable furniture or against strong walls.
The best places that may protect yourself are under stable furniture or against strong walls.
1】Because of this, I thought it would be good to share some really important tips for staying safe during an earthquake.
2】If you are outdoors, move to an open area away from buildings, trees, and power lines.
