How to Make Our School Safer
How to make our school safer? There are many activities that we can do. In safety classes, teachers can teach safety in an easy way and students should learn carefully to stay away from danger, such as fire and earthquakes.
When we have P.E. classes, we should always do warm-up activities before playing sports and drink some water after playing sports. And we aren’t supposed to do anything dangerous to get ourselves or others into trouble.
I think schools should provide us with more emergency practice. Maybe someday we can use the skills that we learn to save our lives.

All the students smiled at her. Everyone sat straight up.
“Today, we’ll create our classroom rules,” she went on. Some kids’ smiles faded (逐渐消失). A few students felt worried.
“First, let’s think about what helps us learn best,” Ms. Sneed said, writing ‘Learning is No.1.’ on the blackboard. “I’ll take notes when you discuss it.”
“I need to focus,” said a boy in the second row. “Yeah, the classroom should be quiet,” said his neighbour. “And we shouldn’t move around too much.” A girl in the back said. A quiet kid in the front corner raised his hand and said, “Last year, someone in my class bullied (霸凌) me. When I worried about that, I couldn’t focus.”
Ms. Sneed nodded. “That brings up a good point. Even though learning is number one, safety is even more important. If you aren’t safe — or even if you don’t feel safe —you can’t learn.”
“What other things stop you from learning?”
“Well, if people are touching (触碰) my things —or they are touching me —I can’t learn,” said another boy in the third row.
“Good point. People need to be respectful,” said Ms. Sneed.
A small girl quickly looked up. “I don’t like it if someone laughs at my ideas.”

A stampede (踩踏) always happens in crowded places. When students around you begin to push, just stand there and try to hold onto something. If you fall down in the crowd, move to one side and protect (保护) your head with your hands around.
When earthquakes happen, you can get under a desk quickly and hold on. It’ll protect you from falling things. If you are outdoors, find a place away from buildings, trees, and power lines.
When there’s a fire, leave the classroom quickly. It’s better to put something wet over your mouth and nose. In this way, you won’t breathe in smoke. Many people die in a fire, not because of the fire but the smoke. It makes them cough and they can’t breathe. That’s very dangerous! So when you want to get out, you should make yourself close to the floor. Then you can breathe some fresh air.

第二节 阅读表达(共5题;每题2分,共10分)
阅读下面短文,简略回答问题。
Recently, the topic of “premade food (预制菜) in school” has caused widely attention. All the parents are worried about the food safety. And food safety is closely related to people's health, so it is of great significance that government take effective measures to ensure (确保) that food is well guaranteed (保障的). But food safety is not a new worry. In 1906, A book named The Jungle(屠场) was written by Upton Sinclair. It is about food safety. It is also about the dangerous ways that food was prepared. People were so worried about food safety that the government started testing food.
These days, most food in the world is safe. Laws control where food comes from, they also control how food is managed and prepared. Laws are important. But it’s more important to make sure the rules are followed. A good food safety system keeps people safe. It also helps them eat healthy food. Labels (标签) on food give people important information. Then they can make good choices about their food.
Although food safety systems usually work, there can be problems. Sometimes mistakes are made. For example, a truck might carry meat and then cakes. The cakes make people sick when the truck isn’t cleaned before carrying them. Sometimes companies break rules to make more money. When this happens, people don’t know if their food is safe.
As we all know, food is closely related to our daily life. We should take action to make our food safer.

The place of your bag
It’s towards 27 your body, not on your back.
Followed by someone

Being safe in your everyday life needs knowledge. If you remember the following information, your life will be much safer.
Always notice the environment around you. You shouldn’t walk alone outside. Make sure where the public phones are. If anything dangerous happens, you can find them easily.
Your bag should be carried towards the front of your body instead of putting it on your back. When a bus is full of people, it is easy enough for a thief to take away the things in the bag on your back.
If you are followed by someone you don’t know, cross the street and go to the other way, let the person understand that you know he or she is after you. Next, don’t go home at once. You are safer in the street than you are alone in your home or in a lift.
If you have to take a bus to place far away, try to get to the stop a few minutes earlier before the bus leaves. This stops other people from studying you. On the bus, don’t sit alone. Sit behind the driver or with other people. Don’t sleep.

71.Translate the underlined sentence into Chinese

【详解】本文以"校园预制菜"争议为切入点,通过对比历史(1906年《屠场》引发的食品安全改革)与现状,说明食品安全监管体系的发展。
71.句子主语是Laws“法律”;control“控制”;where food come from“食物来自哪里”;how food is managed and prepared“食物是如何管理的和制作的”。故填:法律监管食物的来源,同时也监管食物的管理和制作过程。
72.根据“The cakes make people sick when the truck isn’t cleaned before carrying them”可知,“them”指前句提到的“cakes”,因卡车未清洁导致蛋糕被污染。故填cakes.
