What do you predict this unit is possibly about? This unit is likely to be about agriculture or farming. The title means growing crops on the land. The picture shows terraces, which are one of the best examples to show Chinese farmers’ wisdom. ( old use) 耕作；犁地 How do you understand the lines from “An Earth-hitting Song”? The lines describe the simple and peaceful life of ordinary people in ancient times. They went out to labour in the open air when the sun rose; they returned home to rest when the sun set. They drilled a well for drinking water and tilled the land for food.
