VI.Guided Writing (共25分) 作文 Improving Students’ Physical Health My name is Li Ming, a freshman at Danhua High School. Recently, several students have been injured during PE classes, highlighting the need for better physical health. I have two suggestions to improve our physical fitness. Firstly, the school should mandate regular warm-up and cool-down sessions, which can help prevent injuries. These exercises increase flexibility and slowly prepare the body for rigorous activities. Secondly, I recommend incorporating more diverse sports activities into the curriculum. Sports like swimming and yoga, which are less injury-prone, provide excellent full-body workouts and enhance endurance. These suggestions are essential because they not only minimize the risk of injuries but also promote long-term health benefits. A well-rounded exercise program ensures that students are physically fit, which will improve their overall well-being and academic performance. By implementing these changes, we can foster a healthier and safer school environment. I. While Galkin said the figure is an estimate, not least as the model assumes that different feelings like hopelessness or fearfulness are independent of each other, the study highlights that 24 fast we age is significantly associated with our psychological state. “Taking care of your psychological health is the greatest contributor that you can have to 25 (slow) down your pace of ageing,” he said. The team also report that people who smoke 26 (predict) to be 15 months older than their non-smoking peers while living in urban areas reduces biological age   27 five months. Fill in each blank with the word or phrase that best fits the context Once upon a time there lived in Germany two brothers who loved a good story — one with magic and danger, royalty and villains (恶棍). At school they met a wise man who led them to a treasure — a library of old books with tales more fascinating than any they had ever heard. 41 , the brothers began collecting their own stories, listening to the folktales people told them. Soon they 42 their own treasure — a book of fairy tales that would charm millions in faraway lands for generations to come. The brothers Grimm, Jacob and Wilhelm, named their story collection Children’s and Household Tales and published it in Germany in 1812. The collection which has been translated into more than 160 languages up to now is a publishing 43 . The stories and their characters have appeared in theatre, opera, comic books, movies, paintings, rock music, advertising and even fashion. Such 44 would have shocked the modest Grimms. During their lifetimes the book sold few copies in Germany. The early editions were not even 45 children. They had no illustrations, and scholarly footnotes took up almost as much space as the tales themselves. Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm viewed themselves as 46 students of folklore. They began their work at a time when Germany had been occupied by the French under Napoleon. As young scholars, the brothers Grimm began to work on the fairy tale collection in order to save the endangered oral storytelling tradition of Germany. Long before the Grimms’ time, 47 developed in inns, barns, and peasant homes. During winter nights, as they sat spinning wood, women kept each other company and entertained each other with tales of adventure, romance and magic. 48 , 40 such storytellers delivered tales to the Grimms, many of them coming to their house in Kassel. Although the brothers implied that they were just 49 the tales, Wilhelm polished and reshaped the stories up to the final edition of 1857. In an effort to make them more 50 to children and their parents, he stressed the moral of each tale and emphasized gender roles. According to the Grimms, the collection served as “a manual of 51 .” To this day, parents read them to their children because they approve of the lessons in the stories: keep your promises, don’t talk to strangers, work hard, obey your parents. So what 52 their popularity? Some have suggested that it is because the characters are always striving for happiness. But the truth probably lies in their 53 . The Grimms’ tales were born out of a storytelling tradition without 54 of age or culture. The brothers’ skill was to translate these into a universal style of writing that seems to mirror whatever moods or interests we bring to our 55 of them. And so it was that the Grimms’ fairy tales lived happily ever after. 41.A.Inspired B.Disappointed C.Discouraged D.Relieved 42.A.estimated B.produced C.sacrificed D.stocked 43.A.medium B.partnership C.finding D.wonder 44.A.quality B.wealth C.fame D.benefit 45.A.marked as B.robbed of C.aimed at D.prevented from 46.A.intelligent B.hardworking C.peculiar D.patriotic 47.A.collection B.storytelling C.entertainment D.meeting 48.A.Besides B.Altogether C.However D.Similarly 49.A.creating B.developing C.reviewing D.recording 50.A.accustomed B.acceptable C.cruel D.compared 51.A.manners B.parentship C.publishing D.adaptation 52.A.results from B.depends on C.accounts for D.responds to 53.A.appeal B.flexibility C.availability D.origin 54.A.boundaries B.influences C.indications D.distributions 55.A.writing B.sharing C.reading D.beginning Section B (阅读理解) Directions: Read the following three passages. Darwin’s childhood passion was science, and his interest in chemistry, however, was clear; he was even nicknamed ‘Gas’ by his classmates. In 1825, his father sent him to study medicine at Edinburgh University, where he learned how to classify plants. Darwin became passionate about natural history and this became his focus while he studied at Cambridge. Darwin went on a voyage together with Robert Fitzroy, the captain of HMS Beagle, to South America to facilitate British trade in Patagonia. The journey was life-changing. Darwin spent much of the trip on land collecting samples of plants, animals and rocks, which helped him to develop an understanding of the processes that shape the Earth’s surface. Darwin’s analysis of the plants and animals that he gathered led him to express doubts on former explanations about how species formed and evolved over time. Darwin’s work convinced him that natural selection was key to understanding the development of the natural world. The theory of natural selection says that individuals of a species are more likely to survive when they inherit (经遗传获得) characteristics best suited for that specific environment. These features then become more widespread and can lead eventually to the development of a new species. With natural selection, Darwin argued how a wide variety of life forms developed over time from a single common ancestor. Darwin married his cousin, Emma Wedgwood, in 1839. When Darwin’s eldest daughter, Annie, died from a sudden illness in 1851, he lost his belief in God. His tenth and final child, Charles Waring Darwin, was born in 1856. Significantly for Darwin, this baby was disabled, altering how Darwin thought about the human species. Darwin had previously thought that species remained adapted until the environment changed; he now believed that every new variation was imperfect and that a struggle to survive was what drove species to adapt. Though rejected at the beginning, Darwin’s theory of evolution by natural selection is nowadays well accepted by the scientific community as the best evidence-based explanation for the diversity and complexity of life on Earth. The Natural History Museum’s library alone has 478 editions of his On the Origin of Species in 38 languages. 56.What made Darwin reconsider the origin and development of species? A.Examining plants and animals collected. B.His desire for a voyage to different continents. C.Classifying samples in a journey to South America. D.His passion for natural history at Edinburgh University. 57.We can learn from paragraphs 1 to 3 that Darwin ________. A.used natural selection to develop new species B.enjoyed being called nicknames related to science C.learned some knowledge about plants when studying medicine D.argued with others over the diversity of life forms for a long period 58.Which of the following changed Darwin’s view on the human species? A.That he had ten children in all. B.His youngest son’s being disabled. C.That he lost his eldest daughter. D.His marriage with Emma Wedgwood. 59.This passage is mainly about ________. A.Darwin’s passion for medical science B.Darwin’s theory and experiments C.Charles Darwin’s changing interest D.Charles Darwin’s life and work (B) Is Light Dairy Better? There are always two choices on the shelf when we reach for the milk, cheese or yoghurt: normal or light. Less fat is better, right? But what about the goodness that can be found in dairy — Is it all there in the reduced-fat version? Five experts from various fields were asked if light dairy products were better for our health. Here are their detailed responses.Caryl Nowson, Nutritionist Switching from full-fat dairy products to low-fat reduces energy intake, thereby preventing weight gain as well as reducing saturated fat (饱和脂肪) intake. Consumption of saturated fat raises cholesterol (胆固醇) levels in the blood, which increases the risk of heart disease. So reducing saturated fat intake can assist in reducing the risk of heart disease and stroke.Malcolm Riley, Epidemiologist Light dairy products are great for people who want to lower their fat intake. They contain most of the nutritional benefits that can be found in full-fat dairy foods, despite containing 25 percent to 100 percent less fat than their regular dairy food equivalents. However, it is important to note that light dairy foods may be higher in some other nutrients, such as sugar. It always pays to read the nutrition tag and the ingredients list carefully.Nicholas Fuller, Obesity Researcher Both full-fat and low-fat dairy foods have the same benefits for our heart health. The most important thing is that a person includes dairy products in their diet, or suitable dairy-free alternatives that are calcium-enriched (富含钙质的), such as soy. Until we know for sure the effect of full-fat versus low-fat dairy on our weight and waistlines, people should stick with low-fat products as part of their daily eating plan.Evangeline Mantzioris, Food Scientist A recent study which followed people for 22 years found no negative link between heart health and dairy consumption — whether it is full-fat or low-fat dairy. So currently the evidence suggests that light dairy makes no difference in terms of our risk of heart disease and early death. For those who seek to manage their weight, the difference in energy intake may have a significant impact on their success.Robyn Delbridge, Dietitian Light dairy foods are not necessarily better than full-fat dairy foods. Overall, evidence supports the conclusion that dairy foods, regardless of fat content, involve a low risk of the potential harmful effects of high blood pressure. Fermented (发酵的) dairy such as yoghurt and cheese may be beneficial for heart health. The choice of full-fat versus that of low-fat foods should be made based on your whole diet pattern. 60.According to the article, ________ out of the five experts believed that light dairy products were better for our health. A.one B.two C.three D.four 61.According to the article, ________ and ________ hold contrary opinions about the relationship between dairy products and heart health. A.Caryl Nowson ... Nicholas Fuller B.Nicholas Fuller ... Robyn Delbridge C.Caryl Nowson ... Evangeline Mantzioris D.Malcolm Riley ... Evangeline Mantzioris 62.What can we infer from the article? A.Nicholas Fuller recommended that we eat more soy than dairy. B.Evangeline Mantzioris suggested that dieters stay away from full-fat foods. C.Robyn Delbridge believed that people cannot benefit from full-fat products. D.Malcolm Riley believed that all kinds of low-fat dairy products could help people stay fit. (C) The train was at a standstill, some twenty minutes outside Kolkata, when an unexpected stroke of luck presented Piya with an opportunity to go for a seat beside a window for some fresh air. She had been sitting in the stuffiest part of the train compartment, on the edge of a bench: now, moving to the open window, she saw that the train had stopped at a station called Champahati. Looking over her shoulder, Piya spotted a tea-seller on the platform. Reaching through the bars of the window, she called him with a wave. She had never cared for the kind of chai, Indian tea, sold in Seattle, her hometown in the USA, but somehow, in the ten days she had spent in India she had developed an unexpected taste for milky, overboiled tea served in earthenware cups. There were no spices in it for one thing, and this was more to her taste than the chai at home. She paid for her tea and was trying to get in the cup through the bars when the man in the seat opposite her own suddenly turned over a page, jolting her hand. She turned her wrist quickly enough to make sure that most of the tea spilled out of the window, but she could not prevent some from spilling over his papers. “Oh, I’m so sorry!” Piya was very embarrassed: of everyone in the compartment, this was the last person she would have chosen to injure with her tea. She had noticed him while waiting on the platform in Kolkata and she had been struck by the self-satisfied tilt of his head and the way in which he stared at everyone around him, taking them in, sizing them up, sorting them all into their places. “Here,” said Piya, producing a handful of tissues. “Let me help you clean up.” “There’s nothing to be done,” he said testily (暴躁地). “These pages are ruined anyway.” For a moment she considered pointing out that it was he who had knocked her hand. But all she could bring herself to say was, “I’m very sorry. I hope you’ll excuse me.” “Do I really have a choice?” he said. “Does anyone have a choice when they’re dealing with Americans these days?” Piya had no wish to get into an argument so she let this pass. Instead, she opened her eyes wide and, in an attempt to restore peace, came out with, “But how did you guess?” “About what?” “About my being American? You’re very observant.” This seemed to do the trick. His shoulders relaxed as he leaned back in his seat. “I didn’t guess,” he said. “I knew.” 63.In the first paragraph, Piya was relieved when she got a window seat because it meant that_________. A.there was more room for her luggage B.she no longer had to suffer from a lack of air C.there was less chance that she would miss her stop D.she didn’t have to stand for the rest of the train journey 64.Piya found that the tea or chai she had drunk in India ________. A.was disappointingly weak in taste B.reminded her of her home in Seattle C.would have tasted better if served fresh D.was preferable to the chai she had had before 65.When Piya first saw the man she thought that ________. A.he was someone who was observant of surroundings B.he seemed to think he was better than other people C.he had tried to keep his distance from his fellow passengers D.he had been looking for someone he knew on the station platform 66.Piya asked “But how did you guess?” in order to _________. A.find out what the man really thought about Americans B.try to calm the situation down by starting a conversation C.ensure the man realized that she had apologized D.make sure the man knew he was being rude Section C(六选四) Directions: Complete the following passage by using the sentences in the box Each sentence can only be used once. Note that there are two sentences more than you need. Food & Health Myths Every day there is new information about food and health products. Newspapers regularly have articles that discuss how certain foods or drinks are good or bad for you, Some television shows often deal with new stories about how consuming certain substances can affect your body 67 One myth about food and health is that eggs are bad for your heart. Although they are indeed high in cholesterol(胆固醇)and fat, it's not true that eating eggs every day will damage your heart. 68 As far as fat goes, it's the yellow part of the egg that contains all the fat. So if you're worried about the fat content of eggs, go ahead and just eat the whites. You might also choose to buy certain kinds of eggs that have less fat content depending on the diet of the animal. Check your local supermarket for more information. 69 Although it was once thought to have unique properties, other types of alcohol can have the same effects. A study conducted recently revealed that people who drank red wine did not live any longer than those who drank other kinds of spirits, such as beer or white wine. It seems that the alcohol itself improves an individual's health by raising the levels of good cholesterol and decreasing bad cholesterol. The alcohol also serves to increase blood flow and assist in blood clotting (凝结). 70 Consumers who are especially concerned about their health should think carefully about new information they read about or see on television. A.Another popular belief is that red wine, like other drinks, may be harmful to you if consumed too much. B.Apart from that, many people believe drinking red wine is especially good for your heart C.Eggs are high in cholesterol and fat despite the fact that they are a nutritious source of energy D.There are many other myths common is our society about food and health. E.This is because the body can deal with the extra cholesterol by reducing the amount it produces F.With such a steady stream of information, it's understandable that a few popular myths about food and health are floating around. IV.Summary Writing(写作概要)(共20分) Directions: Read the following passage. Summarize the main idea and the main point( s)of the passage in no more than 60 words. Use your own words as far as possible. Sales Strategies How can a company improve its sales? One of the keys to more effective selling is for a company to first decide on its “sales strategy”. In other words, what is the role of the salesperson? Is the salesperson’s job narrative, suggestive, or consultive? The “narrative” sales strategy depends on the salesperson moving quickly into a standard sales presentation. His or her pitch highlights the benefit for the customer of a particular product or service. This approach is most effective for customers whose buying motives are basically the same and is also well suited to companies who have a large number of prospects on which to call. The “suggestive” approach is tailored more for the individual customer. The salesperson must be in a position to offer alternative recommendations that meet a particular customer’s needs. One key aspect of the suggestive approach is the need for the salesperson to engage the buyer in some sort of discussion. The salesperson can then use the information from the customer to suggest an appropriate product or service. The final strategy demands that a company’s sales staff act as “consultants” for the buyer. In this role, the salesperson must acquire a great deal of information about the customer. After you hear a conversation and the question about it, read the four possible answers on your paper, and decide which one is the best answer to the question you have heard. 1. M: I’m sorry. I think you need to pay a fine on these books—they were due back last week. W: Oh, I see. How much is it? Q: Where does the conversation most probably take place? 2. W: Hello! Is the practice room available on Wednesday evening from seven o’clock to nine o’clock? M: Yes. You’ll just need to come a little early that day to sign some paperwork— say, 15 minutes. Q: When should the woman arrive at the practice room on Wednesday? 3. M: We’ re out of bottled water. Can you pick some up on the way home, please? W: I would love to, but I’m going to have my hands full. I have a lot of paperwork to bring home. Q: What is the woman most probably going to do this evening? 4. W: I’m having trouble deciding which to write for my composition. Single-use plastics or dirty energy sources? M: Hmm. I think I’d go with dirty energy sources—it’s an issue that’s been in the news a lot recently. Q: What are the speakers mainly talking about? 5. W: So, what do you think of the house, sir? M: It’s a nice neighbourhood, but I didn’t see any bus station all the way here. Q: What does the man mean? 6. M: Now that the spring’s here, why not go for a picnic this weekend? W: Well, let’s take advantage of the warmer weather. Q: What does the woman mean? 7. M: Look, everyone was making a pose before they were ready. Do you remember who took this one? W: Sure. Grandpa took it when we were on a family trip to Australia five years ago. Q: What are the two speakers most probably doing? 8. W: Sorry, Peter. Next time you throw a party, I will definitely be there. M: No need for apology. Family always comes first. Q: What can be inferred from the conversation? 9. M: I’m so bad at writing, Mrs. White. I don’t think I was born with creativity. W: Nonsense. Creativity can be learned! Writers aren’t constantly inspired—most of them just force themselves to write every day. Q: What does the woman mean? 10: W: Hey, what’s going on? You’re usually at the gym when I get home. Wasn’t it your New Year resolution to lose 10 pounds? M: Actually, I was just killing time here and there after work for the past two weeks. Q: What can be learned about the man from the conversation? Section B Directions: In Section B, you will hear two short passages and one longer conversation, and you will be asked several questions on each of the passages and the conversation. Questions 11 through 13 are based on the following passage. South East Technological University, a university in Ireland, is offering a degree program in influencing, starting next year. Courses include crisis management, public relations, celebrity studies, social psychology, and video and audio editing. Several dozen students will join the class from 2024. Hopefully the courses could bring them some advantages in a fierce, attention-driven profession that can be profitable if successful. Irene McCormick, a senior lecturer at the university, co-designed the degree. She said that while shorter courses have been offered before, the university is likely the first around the world to offer a degree specifically tailored toward the influencer economy. Harvard Business Review put the value of the global influencer market at $16.4 billion last year. As businesses devote larger shares of their marketing budgets to influencer partnerships, it is estimated that the industry is undergoing more growth in 2023. And among today’s youngsters, the profession is particularly appealing. One recent survey reported that 1 in 4 young people desire the job. However, academics raise concerns about the sustainability of the degree in the years to come, given the ever-changing nature of social media. Now listen again. Questions: 11. According to the passage, what field does the program target? 12. According to Irene McCormick, what is special about this program? 13. What concerns the academics about the program? Questions 14 through 16 are based on the following passage. Flag football is a special form of American football. The essential rules of the flag football are the same as regular American football. However, rough contact, like pushing or tackling, is not allowed. In a flag football game, as its name suggests, players score by pulling a flag off their opponents belt instead of tackling the ball. Flag football started out as a means of recreation for American soldiers during World War II who then brought the game back home with them. Today, it has become a favorite for youth players and, increasingly, female players, who have fewer opportunities to showcase their football talents. Millions of players across the US already count it as part of their lives, and games and matches between colleges have provided a robust foundation for the sport to grow. And at higher levels, flag football is increasingly becoming an opportunity for talented female athletes to make their mark. Professionals involved in the sport hope it will eventually be seen as a common alternative to regular football. With the backing of the US National Football League, the International Olympic Committee recently announced that flag football will be played as an Olympic sport for the very first time in the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles. Now listen again. Questions: 14. Which of the following is true about flag football? 15. Why is flag football especially popular among youth and female players? 16. What is the passage mainly intended to do? Questions 17 through 20 are based on the following conversation. M: Hi, Colin, welcome back. You look so tired. Shall I get you a cup of coffee? W: Sure. M: So, how was your trip? Did you have a good time? W: It was terrible. I mean it’s a fantastic country. The people are lovely. The food is wonderful. But what a nightmare! Never again. M: What went wrong? W: Well, we got to the airport early, me and the baby. For they told us to get there a few hours before departure time because of the increased security procedures. So, we were there four hours before takeoff. But then there were delays. M: How long? W: Ten hours! Can you imagine what the Airport is like in August for 10 hours with a small baby? M: Not great, I imagine. W: No, not great. The guy from the airline told us that they’d give us a hotel room. But he finished work and forgot to tell his colleague. By the time they arranged it, we only had three hours to wait so there was no point going to the hotel. M: That’s too bad. But at least you got to Berlin safely. W: But unfortunately our bags didn’t. They went to Moscow. M: Oh no. So you were…. W: ...yep. Stuck in Berlin with no clothes. The man from the airline said that there was nothing he could do. It was night by this time and all the shops were shut and all the hotels were full. It cost me a fortune to get to the downtown at midnight. M: Oh dear. I believe you need another cup of coffee. W: No, I need a new holiday! Now listen again. Questions: 17. Why did the woman arrive at the airport early? 18. What problem did the woman meet? 19. What did the woman imply about the airport staff? 20. What does the woman mean by “I need a new holiday”? II. Each passage is followed by several questions or unfinished statements. For each of them there are four choices marked A, B, C and D. Choose the one that fits best according to the information given in the passage you have just read. (A) Charles Robert Darwin was born on 12 February 1809 in Shropshire, England. A.Darwin’s passion for medical science B.Darwin’s theory and experiments C.Charles Darwin’s changing interest D.Charles Darwin’s life and work 【答案】56.A 57.C 58.B 59.D 【导语】这是一篇人物传记,讲述了查尔斯·罗伯特·达尔文的生平、科学兴趣、重要理论以及他的个人生活。 56.细节理解题。由文章第二段最后一句“Darwin’s analysis of the plants and animals that he gathered led him to express doubts on former explanations about how species formed and evolved over time. ”(达尔文对所收集的植物和动物的分析使他开始质疑过去关于物种如何形成和随时间演化的解释。)可知,达尔文对所收集的植物和动物的分析使他对物种的起源和发展产生质疑和重新审议。故选A项。 57.细节理解题。由文章第二段第一句“In 1825, his father sent him to study medicine at Edinburgh University, where he learned how to classify plants. ”(1825年,他的父亲送他去爱丁堡大学学医,在那里他学会了如何对植物进行分类。)可推断,达尔文在学医时候了解到了关于植物的知识。故选C项。 58.细节理解题。由文章第四段第二句和三句“His tenth and final child, Charles Waring Darwin, was born in 1856. Significantly for Darwin, this baby was disabled, altering how Darwin thought about the human species. (B) Is Light Dairy Better? 【答案】60.B 61.C 62.B 【导语】这是一篇说明文。文章就轻乳制品是否对我们的健康更好让来自不同领域的五位专家陈述自己观点。 60.细节理解题。由Caryl Nowson, Nutritionist中“Switching from full-fat dairy products to low-fat reduces energy intake, thereby preventing weight gain as well as reducing saturated fat (饱和脂肪) intake. A.find out what the man really thought about Americans B.try to calm the situation down by starting a conversation C.ensure the man realized that she had apologized D.make sure the man knew he was being rude 【答案】63.B 64.D 65.B 66.B 【导语】这是一篇记叙文,文章主要讲述了是美国小姑娘Piya在火车上的一次经历。 63.细节理解题。根据文章第一段“The train was at a standstill, some twenty minutes outside Kolkata, when an unexpected stroke of luck presented Piya with an opportunity to go for a seat beside a window for some fresh air. 【答案】67.F 68.E 69.B 70.D 【导语】这是一篇说明文。讲述生活中一些关于食物和健康存在着一些“神话”宣传的现象。 67.根据前文“Every day there is new information about food and health products. Newspapers regularly have articles that discuss how certain foods or drinks are good or bad for you, Some television shows often deal with new stories about how consuming certain substances can affect your body(每天都有关于食品和保健品的新信息。报纸上经常有文章讨论某些食物或饮料是如何对你有益或有害的,一些电视节目经常处理关于摄入某些物质如何影响你的身体的新故事)”提到了电视和报纸讨论某些食物或饮料是如何对你有益或有害的信息,说明媒体宣传的方式,所以空处应该承接前文,讲述媒体宣传的作用。选项 F.“With such a steady stream of information, it's understandable that a few popular myths about food and health are floating around.(有了这样源源不断的信息,一些关于食物和健康的流行神话就流传开来了,这是可以理解的。)”,说明因为这些源源不断的信息,一些关于食物和健康的流行神话就流传开来,符合题意,故选F项。 68.根据前面的“Although they are indeed high in cholesterol (胆固醇) and fat, it's not true that eating eggs every day will damage your heart. (虽然鸡蛋的胆固醇和脂含量确实很高,但并不是说每天吃鸡蛋就会损害你的心脏。)”,可知接下来应该描述的是吃鸡蛋不会损害心脏的原因,选项 E.“This is because the body can deal with the extra cholesterol by reducing the amount it produces(这是因为身体可以通过减少胆固醇的产生来处理多余的胆固醇)”,符合题意,故选E项。 69.根据后面的内容“Although it was once thought to have unique properties other types of alcohol can have the same effects. A study conducted recently revealed that people who drank red wine did not live any longer than those who drank other kinds of spirits, such as beer or white wine.(尽管它一度被认为具有独特的特性但其他类型的酒精也有相同的效果。最近进行的一项研究表明,喝红酒的人并不比喝啤酒或白葡萄酒等其他烈酒的人长寿。)”可知这一段与喝红酒有关,且此句说的是喝红酒可能会有好处,所以空处应作为总括句,讲述人们对喝红酒带来的好处的认识。选项B.“Apart from that, many people believe drinking red wine is especially good for your heart.”(除此之外,许多人认为喝红酒对心脏特别有好处)。符合题意,故选B项。 70.根据最后一句“Consumers who are especially concerned about their health should think carefully about new information they read about or see on television.(特别关心自己健康的消费者应该仔细考虑他们在电视上读到或看到的新信息。)”,提到关注健康的消费者要对电视上看到或了解到的新信息要持谨慎态度,同时结合第一段中提到报纸和电视节目有讨论食物或饮料是如何对你有益或有害的信息,第二段和第三段中提到报纸上关于食物和饮料的一些传言,可推知,空处中应该讲述,除了报纸之外,在生活中关于食物和健康还有其它的神话。 选项D.“There are many other myths common is our society about food and health.”(在我们的社会中,关于食物和健康还有许多其他常见的神话)。下文提到消费者需要对电视上的信息要谨慎,和空处呼应,故选D项。 IV.Summary Writing(写作概要)(共20分) Directions: Read the following passage. They do this through market research, surveys, and face-to-face discussions. Using this information, the salesperson makes a detailed presentation tailored specifically to a consumer’s needs. More and more sales teams are switching from a narrative or a suggestive approach to a more consultative strategy. As a result, corporations are looking more at intangibles (无形资产) such as creativity and analytical skills and less at educational background and technical skills. 71.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 【答案】There are three types of sales strategies to improve sales. The narrative strategy means salespeople promoting products with standard presentations. The suggestive approach requires salespeople to recommend a suitable product to a customer through discussion. The consultive strategy demands that salespeople get information about customers and act as their “consultants”. Nowadays more sales teams prefer the consultive approach. The stories and their characters have appeared in theatre, opera, comic books, movies, paintings, rock music, advertising and even fashion. Such 44 would have shocked the modest Grimms. 71.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ V.Translation (共15分。第1小题和第2小题,每题3分;第3题4分;第4题5分。)(翻译) Directions:Translate the following sentences into English, using the words given in the brackets 72. Directions: Write an English composition in 120-150 words according to the instructions given below in Chinese. 假设你是旦华中学高一学生李明,鉴于最近校内有数名学生在体育课上受伤,学校英语报针对这一情况开展主题为“如何提高学生身体素质”的征文活动。写一篇投稿,内容须包括: 1)两条有助于改善身体素质的建议 2)你提出这些建议的理由 _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ 原创精品资源学科网独家享有版权,侵权必究!1 学科网(北京)股份有限公司1 / 7 学科网(北京)股份有限公司 $$
