第3课时 主题阅读课 目录 CONTENTS 一、精读阅读理解——提素养 二、精析读后续写——启思维 课时作业(三) 一、精读阅读理解——提素养 (2023·全国乙卷·阅读理解B篇)Living in Iowa and trying to become a photographer specializing in landscape (风景) can be quite a challenge, mainly because the corn state lacks geographical variation. Although landscapes in the Midwest tend to be quite similar, either farm fields or highways, sometimes I find distinctive character in the hills or lakes. To make some of my landscape shots,I have traveled up to four hours away to shoot within a 10-minute time frame. I tend to travel with a few of my friends to state parks or to the countryside to go on adventures and take photos along the way. Being at the right place at the right time is decisive in any style of photography.I often leave early to seek the right destinations so I can set up early to avoid missing the moment I am attempting to photograph. I have missed plenty of beautiful sunsets/sunrises due to being on the spot only five minutes before the best moment. One time my friends and I drove three hours to Devil's Lake, Wisconsin, to climb the purple quartz (石英) rock around the lake. After we found a crazy-looking road that hung over a bunch of rocks, we decided to photograph the scene at sunset. The position enabled us to look over the lake with the sunset in the background. We managed to leave this spot to climb higher because of the spare time until sunset. However, we did not mark the route (路线) so we ended up almost missing the sunset entirely. Once we found the place, it was stressful getting lights and cameras set up in the limited time. Still, looking back on the photos, they are some of my best shots though they could have been so much better if I would have been prepared and managed my time wisely.(说明:文中加蓝词汇为本单元主题词汇) [真题评价] [价值导向] 本文是一篇记叙文。 1.How does the author deal with the challenge as a landscape photographer in the Midwest? A.By teaming up with other photographers. B.By shooting in the countryside or state parks. C.By studying the geographical conditions. D.By creating settings in the corn fields. 根据第二段的“To make some of my landscape shots ... the countryside to go on adventures and take photos along the way.” √ 2.What is the key to successful landscape photography according to the author? A.Proper time management. B.Good shooting techniques. C.Adventurous spirit. D.Distinctive styles. √ 3.What can we infer from the author's trip with friends to Devil's Lake? A.They went crazy with the purple quartz rock. B.They felt stressed while waiting for the sunset. C.They reached the shooting spot later than expected. D.They had problems with their equipment. 根据尾段中的“However, we did not mark the route (路线)... it was stressful getting lights and cameras set up in the limited time.” 4.How does the author find his photos taken at Devil's Lake? A.Amusing. B.Satisfying. C.Encouraging. D.Comforting. 根据尾段中的“Still, looking back on the photos ... if I would have been prepared and managed my time wisely.” 因境辨义(写出下列蓝体词在文中的词性及含义) ①(一词多义)To make some of my landscape shots, I have traveled up to four hours away to shoot within a 10-minute time frame. _________________;____________ ②(一词多义)After we found a crazy-looking road that hung over a bunch of rocks, we decided to photograph the scene at sunset.______ v. 词块积累(写出下列词块在文中的汉语意思) ①specialize in ______________ ②go on adventures _________ ③set up ____________ ④on the spot ___________ ⑤team up with sb. I often leave early to seek the right destinations so I can set up early to avoid missing the moment I am attempting to photograph. [1] It was a lovely spring morning. The sky was blue, the sun was out, and the air was warm.❶ As I drove along the curvy roads, I saw thousands of wild flowers in bloom and some volunteers picking up trash along the side of the road. I smiled as I saw them doing some “Spring Cleaning” for our Mother Earth and my mind was cast back to the spring day long long ago. [2] When my children were younger, we used to walk a small trail around the lake near our home. One spring day, my daughter and I noticed much trash was lying along the trail. The next day we brought a big trash bag with us and started to pick up the trash along the way slowly. There were pop cans, plastic water bottles, wrappers for candy bars, empty chip bags, pieces of broken fishing line, and even an old deserted shoe.❷ We picked up each one and even fished a few pieces of garbage out of the water.❸ By the time we had circled the lake, the bag was nearly full. [3] Tired but happy, we finally put the bag in an empty trash can. Before we headed home, we took one last look at the lake.❹ It looked more beautiful than ever and I felt like the angels were smiling at us at that moment.❺ [4] I realized that though environmental pollution is still serious, the truth is that every time we stop to pick up a single piece of trash, it will make a difference. So from then on I planned to take further action to keep the environment clean. When we were back home, my family discussed how to clear the rubbish regularly._____________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ The following weekend, we put our plan into practice. ________ ____________________________________________________________ [高分写作指导] 一、读文路径 把握结构主旨 二、思考路径 1. 1:I smiled ... long long ago. 2:When my children ... our home. 3:So from then on ... environment clean. 3.构思续写内容(运用“5所”构思) 第一段: ①What did my children say?(根据前文伏笔2提出问题:所说——接续首句) ②What was the plan called?(根据前文伏笔1提出问题:所做——照应前文) ③How did we feel about the plan?(所感——衔接下文) 第二段: ④How did we carry out our plan?(根据前文伏笔3提出问题:所做——接续首句) ⑤What did we hope this plan could achieve? What did we see on that day?(所想、所见——推进情节) ⑥What was the result?(所做——自然结尾) 4. My daughter positively suggested that we should fix a time to do our cleaning. Considering the specific situation of each family member, we finally decided to clean up the trash on the weekend. My younger son also made good suggestions, such as putting up signs to remind people to protect the environment. (自然式结尾)What's more, these people decided to join us and pick up the trash with us every weekend. Thus, our team was growing. (哲理式结尾)It came to my mind that as long as everyone devotes their own love to the environment, the world will become more beautiful! 2.做到衔接照应全文(请完成文章续写) When we were back home, my family discussed how to clear the rubbish regularly. My daughter positively suggested that we should fix a time to do our cleaning. Considering the specific situation of each family member, we finally decided to clean up the trash on the weekend. My younger son also made good suggestions, such as putting up signs to remind people to protect the environment. (对应伏笔2) We called it the “Spring Cleaning” plan. (对应伏笔1) Both of my children were very excited about this plan. (心理描写) The following weekend, we put our plan into practice. We set out with the signs we had made in advance and put them up as we picked up the trash.(对应伏笔3) In this way, we hoped to remind people to pay attention to the environmental protection. It happened that on that day we ran into the same people like whom I just saw picking up the trash. (动作描写) They spoke highly of our behavior. What's more, these people decided to join us and pick up the trash with us every weekend. (对应伏笔1) Thus, our team was growing. 阅读理解 (2025·淄博模拟)There was no way to escape when they spotted a polar bear.Verena Mohaupt and a handful of colleagues were trapped on a floating sea ice while the bear gazed at them, smelling the air, a dangerous sign. “That's when everything kicks in,” Mohaupt says,“and you focus on what's important.”As a colleague fired into the sky as a warning shot, Mohaupt radioed their research ship a few kilometres away, whose helicopter luckily arrived quickly and Mohaupt didn't have to use the gun that was hanging over her shoulder. Keeping a lookout for bears was a regular duty for Mohaupt, the logistics coordinator (后勤协调员) for a year-long mission known as the MOSAiC — the largest Arctic research exploration in history. The project, consisting of roughly 300 scientists, led by scientist MarkusRex, has collected massive measurements that will help better forecast how warming will transform the globe in the coming decades. For months, the exploration operated in constant darkness while polar bears wandered nearby, storms rocked the ship and the ice shifted and cracked. Then, when the sun returned, the ice began to melt, creating a life-threatening risk and a nightmare for researchers who needed to keep their instruments from sinking. Tasked with the security of the mission, Mohaupt designed an extensive training course for the participants in which they learnt how to avoid the danger, like storm-rocking and ice-cracking.They jumped into a Norwegian channel in their survival suits and climbed out of the freezing water using only their ice picks. They learnt how to escape from a crashed helicopter. And they discussed the psychological effects of being far from home.Mohaupt brought knitting equipment, yoga mats and a violin for their mental health — although having been prepared for the isolation. Mohaupt didn't expect a career in polar regions, but says she has always been drawn to the north.“She was there to make sure that we were protected,” says Markus Rex.“Mohaupt is certainly the champion in the field.” Verena Mohaupt。 1.Why does the author mention a polar bear in the beginning? A.To show the threat of bears. B.To tell an interesting story. C.To introduce Mohaupt's job. D.To describe the polar scenery. √ 2.What can we know from paragraph 3? A.The working conditions were tough. B.Mohaupt helped to collect massive data. C.The exploration went on in total darkness. D.Mohaupt's duty was to protect polar bears. 根据第三段中“For months, the exploration operated in constant darkness while polar bears wandered nearby, storms rocked the ship and the ice shifted and cracked.” √ 3.Which of the following best describes Mohaupt? A.Ambitious and brave. B.Passionate and dependent. C.Considerate and modest. D.Professional and responsible. 根据第四段中“Mohaupt designed an extensive training course for the participants”和“Mohaupt brought knitting equipment, yoga mats and a violin for their mental health”可知,Mohaupt有着过硬的专业知识和技能,对工作认真负责。 4.What is a suitable title for the text? A.A Potential Danger in the Exploration B.A Guardian Angel of Polar Researchers C.A Great Scientific Exploration in History D.A Great Female Scientist in Polar Research √ 解析:标题归纳题。 (2025·蚌埠模拟)Though traveling is not a big deal for me today, before my trip to the mountains, I used to be a homebody.I had friends to hang out with, several hobbies, and I felt completely comfortable spending weeks or even months in my hometown — or sometimes even on my block — without going anywhere. All my demands of novelty were satisfied by the Discovery and National Geographic channels, and I seriously thought there was no difference between seeing something on the TV and with one's own eyes. The situation changed when one day David, my best friend who always has a couple of colorful bugs in his head (or, in other words, was always carrying out several crazy plans at once), walked into my room and declared his disgust (厌恶) for civilization.I will not describe how he managed to persuade me to join him on his journey to the Rocky Mountains; all I will say is that we departed in five days. This was my first time in the mountains, so I was turning my head in all directions.Unfortunately, the weather was foggy most of the time, and the higher we got into the mountains, the worse the visibility was. Even despite this fact, I still enjoyed the hike — I felt like I was Bear Grylls, whose show I used to watch with excitement: in the wild, with food and water in my backpack, carrying a flashlight and a knife. On the first day, we were making our way along the foothills; but the next day, we started to climb on one of the peaks.Though it was not that steep and high, I was still excited.I regularly hastened, and because of that, I ran out of energy long before we got to the top; David, on the other hand, was more well-paced. When we finally got to the top, nothing had changed. The same fog was covering the surroundings, and even though I was filled with positive emotions, I felt disappointed, because I counted on seeing the view from above and perhaps being able to take some photos. We spent a couple of hours on the top, and decided to turn back. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Seeing all this scenery with my own eyes was truly an eye-opening experience for me._____________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ 参考范文: We spent a couple of hours on the top, and decided to turn back.As the fog began to lift slightly, we caught glimpses of the breathtaking landscape that had been hidden from us.The sight of the rugged terrain and the distant peaks, even partially obscured, was more than I could have imagined. The reality of the mountains was far more profound and awe-inspiring than any TV show could convey. It was a moment of realization that the world was much bigger and more magnificent than the confines of my hometown. Seeing all this scenery with my own eyes was truly an eye-opening experience for me.It was a stark contrast to the comfort of my home and the familiarity of my daily routine. The fresh air, the sounds of nature, and the challenge of the climb all contributed to a sense of adventure and discovery that I had never felt before. It was then that I understood the difference between experiencing something through a screen and immersing oneself in it.The disappointment of the foggy view was replaced by the satisfaction of having stepped out of my comfort zone and into the unknown. This trip was not just a physical journey; it was a personal one that changed my perspective on life and the world around me. $$
