第3课时 主题阅读课 目录 CONTENTS 一、精读阅读理解——提素养 二、精析读后续写——启思维 课时作业(三) 一、精读阅读理解——提素养 (2023·新高考Ⅰ卷·阅读理解C篇)The goal of this book is to make the case for digital minimalism, including a detailed exploration of what it asks and why it works, and then to teach you how to adopt this philosophy if you decide it's right for you. To do so,I divided the book into two parts. In part one, I describe the philosophical foundations of digital minimalism, starting with an examination of the forces that are making so many people's digital lives increasingly intolerable, before moving on to a detailed discussion of the digital minimalism philosophy. Part one concludes by introducing my suggested method for adopting this philosophy:the digital__________. This process requires you to step away from optional online activities for thirty days. At the end of the thirty days, you will then add back a small number of carefully chosen online activities that you believe will provide massive benefits to the things you value. declutter In the final chapter of part one, I'll guide you through carrying out your own digital declutter. In doing so, I'll draw on an experiment I ran in 2018 in which over 1,600 people agreed to perform a digital declutter. You'll hear these participants' stories and learn what strategies worked well for them, and what traps they encountered that you should avoid. The second part of this book takes a closer look at some ideas that will help you cultivate (培养) a sustainable digital minimalism lifestyle. In these chapters, I examine issues such as the importance of solitude (独处) and the necessity of cultivating high-quality leisure to replace the time most now spend on mindless device use. Each chapter concludes with a collection of practices, which are designed to help you act on the big ideas of the chapter. You can view these practices as a toolbox meant to aid your efforts to build a minimalist lifestyle that works for your particular circumstances.(说明:文中加蓝词汇为本单元主题词汇) [真题评价] [价值导向] 本文向读者介绍了一本书,该书解释了何为数字极简主义并提供了实现极简主义生活方式的方法。 1.What is the book aimed at? Obviously, she didn't speak English at all. When I listened to her more carefully, I found she was speaking German. She was clearly lost and trying to walk to the house where she lived. She showed me screen shots of maps on her phone as if she wanted me to help her find her way home.❶ Actually, I learned some German in my spare time because our school will have German classes the next term. However, I was so poor at it that it was almost useless in practice. [2] I studied nearby and I knew my classmate, Lisa, who was good at speaking German. So I decided to telephone her. “Hi, Lisa. I came across a German lady. Do you have time to come and act as a translator now?” I said and then sent her my location.❷ Unfortunately, Lisa answered, “Sorry, Belle, I'm shopping now. I can reach your place in about half an hour.” Hearing that, I had to tell her that I could manage myself.❸ [3] Suddenly, an idea flashed through my mind. I downloaded a translation app and used the voice function to translate what the lady said into English.❹ Just in this way, I learned that she came here to visit her daughter who was new to the city to teach. And I also determined the address she needed to get to. It was not far from here to her house, so I offered to walk with her to her destination. She was greatly grateful to me and kept saying sorry for taking up my time.❺ [4] When we got to the house, her daughter just came back. Florence, the name she told me, was as touched by my kindness as her mother.❻ I kept reminding her that it was no trouble for me, and that I only intended to make sure her mother got there safely. [5] Walking with the lady was more rewarding than running alone. Despite having to rely on technology to communicate due to the language barrier, I felt lucky to have been able to help her. When I left, I couldn't wait to share the wonderful experience with Lisa. No sooner had I picked up my phone than Lisa called me. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ When the German teacher entered the classroom in the new term, I felt I'd seen her somewhere before. _____________________________ ____________________________________________________________ [高分写作指导] 一、读文路径 1. 抓住5W1H who ①____ (主要人物), Lisa, the German lady and her daughter. what I helped a German lady who lost her way with the help of ② _____________. when One morning in my summer holiday. where In my neighbourhood. why The German I'd learned couldn't help me to communicate with the lady speaking only ③__________. how I downloaded ④________________and it helped me out. I technology German a translation app 1:Lisa answered, “Sorry, Belle, I'm ... in about half an hour.” 2:Actually, I learned some German ... useless in practice. 3:When we got to the house ... as her mother. 构思续写内容(运用“5所”构思) 第一段: ①What did Lisa say to me?(根据原文伏笔1提出问题:所说——接续首句) ②How did I reply?(所说——推进情节) ③Did I ask Lisa to teach me German?(所做——推进情节) ④Did I learn German well and how did I feel?(根据原文伏笔2提出问题:所感——衔接下文) 第二段: ⑤What did the German teacher say?(所说——接续首句) ⑥How did I feel?(根据原文伏笔3提出问题:所感——推进情节) ⑦How did I find my German teacher? What did we do next?(所想、所做——推进情节) ⑧What did and would I do?(所做——故事结局) 4. “Belle, how is it going? Do you still need my help?” Lisa asked. “Thanks, Lisa. Everything is OK. And I'd just like to tell you about it,” I said. (自然式结尾)I even made friends with her mother, so I had more opportunities to practise speaking German. I was resolved to visit Germany the next summer holiday. (哲理式结尾)From my experience, I firmly believe that one good turn deserves another. 2.做到衔接照应全文(请完成文章续写) No sooner had I picked up my phone than Lisa called me. “Belle, how is it going? Do you still need my help?” Lisa asked. (对应伏笔1) “Thanks, Lisa. Everything is OK. And I'd just like to tell you about it,” I said. (对话描写) I told her exactly what had happened, and specifically described how I had solved the problem. (动作描写) Lisa praised me for my quick wit. Then I asked her to teach me German in case I needed it later. She promised. By the end of the holiday, I could have already communicated with her in some simple German words. (对应伏笔2) So I was ready for the new term with confidence. When the German teacher entered the classroom in the new term, I felt I'd seen her somewhere before. What amazed me was that she came over to me, saying, “Glad to see you again. I'm Florence.” I was surprised to find that she was the daughter of the old lady that I had helped during the holiday. (心理描写,对应伏笔3) What a fantastic fate! As our new foreign teacher, Florence was patient and considerate. We all respected her and took every lesson seriously. I even made friends with her mother, so I had more opportunities to practise speaking German. I was resolved to visit Germany the next summer holiday. 阅读理解 (2025·沧州模拟)At Countryside High School in Clearwater, Florida, 16-year-old Sage Waite is already taking a class in cybersecurity, and she'd welcome one that's in the works on cyber disinformation. “For the longest time, I didn't actually know what disinformation was,” said Waite, who's in the 11th grade.“There was always the idea that things could be wrong in what you're hearing and what you're being told. But the idea of misinformation and disinformation wasn't in my day-to-day.” This past year, she says, has been an eye-opener.“My friends and I definitely started looking into stuff more and doing more research after that,” she said. A new program on “digital literacy”, with a focus on topics like disinformation, is in the pipeline, thanks in part to Mike McConnell, who is now working to fight false information aimed at young people.“We need to understand this so we can appreciate what's happening to us, and be able to not only understand it, but also to navigate through it,” McConnell said.“That's what I call digital literacy.” McConnell is executive director of Cyber Florida, which is based at the University of South Florida in Tampa. The group works with kids throughout the state at universities, high schools, and even those in younger grades.Cyber Florida helped set up the cybersecurity program now being taught at many Florida schools. The new project, Cyber Citizenship, is even more ambitious.“We think if we can do this for Florida, we can spread it across the nation,” he said. The expanded program now in the works aims to make digital literacy something all Florida students get, at several grade levels, before they finish high school. There's no date yet for the cyber disinformation classes in Florida, but computer teacher Jason Felt says it can't come soon enough and he is ready to embrace it. “The Internet is a wonderful tool. It's connected us in a way that's never really been seen before. But it's a blessing and it's also a curse.” Teaching students the difference, he says, is a huge challenge. 1.What can we learn about the class that Sage Waite is taking from the first two paragraphs? A.It receives a cold welcome. B.It aims to form a bond. C.It focuses on technologies. D.It has a positive impact. 根据第二段中的“This past year, she says, has been an eye-opener.” √ 2.What is digital literacy according to McConnell? A.The specific strategies for protecting privacy. B.The inborn capacity to track fake information. C.The general skills of maintaining cybersecurity. D.The overall ability to handle online information. 根据第三段中的“We need to understand this so we can appreciate what's happening to us, and be able to not only understand it, but also to navigate through it”可知,数字素养是对网络信息的综合处理能力。 3.What is the vision of Cyber Citizenship? A.To outperform Cybersecurity. B.To take the lead in the world. C.To reach a wider range of students. D.To make a substantial profit. 根据第四段中的“We think if we can do this for Florida, we can spread it across the nation”可知,这个新项目的构想是接触更多的学生。 √ 4.What is Jason Felt's attitude towards the cyber disinformation classes? A.Welcoming. B.Unclear. C.Opposed. D.Prejudiced. 根据倒数第三段中的“... but computer teacher Jason Felt says it can't come soon enough and he is ready to embrace it.” (2025·滨州模拟)Jack, a 10-year-old boy, was apparently below his peers athletically and intellectually since he suffered a high fever five years ago and didn't get timely treatment.Because of his serious flaws, Jack was not allowed to go to school like a normal child. Fortunately, his family never gave up on him.Instead, they taught him to take care of himself, and even came up with an idea for Jack to earn a living — to sell daily necessities such as water, towels and tissues (纸巾) on the street. Jack readily accepted his family's advice. However, his mother was not as calm as she appeared. She was indeed worried a lot.She was always thinking to herself, “What if someone laughs at him for his strange way of walking? What if someone mimics his mumbled speech?” So when Jack walked down the street with a basket full of tissues, his mother sneaked behind him. At first, everything seemed to be going well.Passers-by did not look at him in a different way just because of his “different” way of saying and walking.Soon after, Jack sold a few packets of tissues without a hitch and every time he made a sale, he would politely thanked the buyers, which earned him approving looks and smiles. However, something alarming, eventually, happened — several packets of tissues accidentally fell off because Jack was walking unsteadily. He bent down to pick them up, but because of his poor balance, more tissues fell out of the basket. What's worse, Jack fell to the ground heavily. At that moment, his mom couldn't bear it anymore and attempted to offer a hand to Jack.Just at that time, what worried her most happened when a group of children from school saw Jack and caught sight of his “awkward” and “different” way of movements. Just as she expected, those children rushed towards Jack. ___________ __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The children didn't leave but stayed nearby, whispering something. Just as she expected, those children rushed towards Jack. She closed her eyes tightly, expecting the worst. However, to her surprise, the children did not mock or laugh at Jack.Instead, they quickly surrounded him, helping him to pick up the fallen tissues and put them back into the basket. One of the children even held Jack's hand to help him stand up.“Are you okay, Jack?” asked a girl with concern.Jack nodded and smiled weakly, his eyes filled with gratitude. His mother, who had been hiding behind a nearby tree, saw this scene and felt relieved. She realized that the world was not as cruel as she had imagined, and Jack's “different” was not a reason for others to mock or bully him. The children didn't leave but stayed nearby, whispering something.Curious, Jack's mother slowly approached and overheard their conversation.“He's so brave, selling things on the street like that,” said one of the boys.“Yeah, and he's so polite too.I feel bad for laughing at him before,” added another girl.Jack's mother felt her heart swell with pride. She realized that Jack's differences were not his weaknesses; they were his strengths. His resilience and courage in the face of adversity had inspired these children to see him in a new light. As she watched Jack continue to sell his tissues with the help of his newfound friends, she knew that he had found a place where he belonged, a place where he was accepted and loved for who he was. $$
