The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain is a fun story about a young boy’s exciting life in a small Mississippi River town. Tom Sawyer is a mischievous(捣蛋的) and imaginative kid, he loves playing more than studying. His best friends, Huck and Joe , are just as adventurous as he is.
One famous part is when Tom turns a punishment—whitewashing a fence—into a clever trick. He makes the work seem so fun that other boys pay him to help! Tom and Huck also see a murder in a graveyard by the dangerous Injun Joe. They’re too afraid to tell anyone at first, but the secret weighs on Tom. Later, Tom runs away to an island with his friends. When the town thinks they’re dead, Tom comes back and becomes a hero.
The most exciting part is when Tom and Becky get lost in a cave. They face hunger and fear, and even meet Injun Joe. But Tom finds a way out. After that, he finds Injun Joe’s hidden treasure, making him and Huck rich.
Through these adventures, Tom learns about friendship, courage, and doing the right thing. It’s a classic full of fun and great lessons.
Summary of the Adventures of Tom Sawyer
Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe tells the exciting story of a man’s life on an island. Robinson, a young Englishman who loves adventure, sails away. During a voyage, a storm destroys his ship, and he’s the only one who survives. He washes up on an island, alone with no food, shelter, or tools.
Robinson is determined to live. He goes back to the shipwreck to get tools, guns, and seeds. Then he builds a shelter, makes clothes from animal skins, and grows his own food. Life on the island is tough. He faces bad weather and wild animals, but he keeps a journal to stay strong. Over the years, he tames goats, makes pottery, and even teaches a parrot to speak. One day, he sees footprints and realizes other people come to the island. Later, he saves a man and names him Friday. They become good friends.
Finally, a ship arrives at the island. Robinson and Friday help the captain take back control. As thanks, the captain takes them back to England after 28 years.
This story shows us how important it is not to give up, work hard, and value friendship. It’s an inspiring adventure that people love to read.
