Unit 24 A quiz Junior New Concept English 2B 形容词 形容词是用来描写或修饰名词（或代词）的一类词。Adjective缩写为adj. good，big, tall, enough, special, beautiful, sunny, dangerous, careful, interesting 形容词的位置 形容词通常放在所修饰名词之前： a happy day the beautiful girl ** 形容词修饰something, anything, nothing 等，要放在其后面： something special nothing important 常见形容词词缀 1）+y : rainy, sunny, windy, cloudy, lucky, healthy, noisy.... 2）+ly：friendly, lonely, lovely, daily, weekly, monthly...... 3) +ern: western, northern.... 4) +en: golden, wooden..... 5) + ful/less: careful, careless, hopeful, hopeless.... 6) + able/ible: reasonable, enjoyable.... 7) + ous: dangerous, famous.... 8) + ish: foolish, childish.... 9) + ed / ing: bored, boring, amazed, amazing, interested, interesting.... 10) + n: American, Russian.... 形容词-ed & -ing 1） -ed : 过去分词演化的形容词，表被动，修饰人：bored, interested, surprized, pleased,excited..... 2) -ing: 现在分词演化的形容词，表主动，修饰物：interesting, boring, amazing, surprizing,exciting.... The meeting is boring. I feel bored. I am interested in Music. I think it’s interesting. 等级形容词 & 非等级形容词 1. 等级形容词可以进行比较，所以有了比较级和最高级： good，great, big, tall, beautiful, pretty, useful.... 2. 非等级形容词通常表示事物的类别/来源或一种唯一/极端的性质，不能进行比较。 only, wrong, right, full, weekly, dead, asleep.... 形容词比较级&最高级 1）单音节词末尾+er/est（单音节以e结尾的话只加r/st)：tall, short, small.... I am tall. Mike is taller. Bobby is the tallest. This ruler is long. That one is longer. 2）闭音节的单音节词，若以一个辅音结尾则双写辅音字母再加er/est: big, thin, fit.... big -- bigger -- biggest Tina is thin. But Lucy is thinner. 3）以辅音字母加y结尾的，需变y为i，再加er/est: noisy, pretty, dry.... noisy -- noisier -- noisiest Lina is pretty. Her mother is prettier. And her little sister is the prettiest in her family. * pretty -- more pretty/ most pretty. 4）双音节或多音节前面加more/most: beautiful, useful, careful .... This one is more beautiful.
