教学设计
一、课标要求及解读(Requirements and Interpretation of Curriculum Standard)
This section designs reading and writing integrated activities with the theme "Make an Effective Poster." Protecting wild animals requires the participation of the entire society. Educating the public on wildlife conservation and arousing their awareness and enthusiasm for it are imperative and will benefit future generations. Students are not only the main recipients of such education but also "ambassadors" for promoting it. Creating promotional posters requires students to deeply understand and research the situation of endangered animals and think about protection measures. Through the process of reading and comprehending the poster content and creating posters themselves, students will be trained to master and use this genre of writing, while cultivating their sense of social responsibility and duty.
二、学习内容分析(Content Analysis)
There are two posters in the reading text. The first poster "Give Ugly a Chance!" Calls on people to protect all kinds of wild animals, do not discriminate according to personal likes and dislikes. Animals, whether beautiful or ugly, have their meaning and value of existence. The world is beautiful because of the diversity of organisms. The article uses a declarative tone, tells the story, let people unknowingly accept the author's point of view. The second poster "Don't Make Paper with My Home!" uses personification, the koala's voice cries as the title, criticizing those who cut down trees and destroy the animals' homes. The article uses exclamatory sentence and rhetorical sentence and the tone is strong, clearly expressing the author's attitude and viewpoint. In addition, the titles of these two posters use exclamatory sentences, with strong appeals and emotional colors.
