can 是表示 “能力” 或 “许可” 的情态动词,无人称和数的变化,后接动词原形,主要用于以下场景:

注意事项
1. can 没有时态变化,过去的能力用 “could”(can 的过去式),如:He could ride a bike when he was five.(他五岁时会骑自行车。)
2. 情态动词后必须接动词原形,不可加 - s 或 - ed,如:错误:She can sings. 正确:She can sing.(她会唱歌。)
3. could 也可用于请求或允许做某事,语气较委婉。如: Could you please do me a favor?(请问您可以帮我一下吗?)
二、play 与乐器、球类、棋牌的搭配
用法介绍
play 与不同类型的名词搭配时,需注意是否加定冠词 “the”,具体规则如下:

棋牌类名词前不加 “the”,如:play chess(下国际象棋)、play cards(打牌)。
注意事项
1. 乐器与球类 / 棋牌的核心区别:乐器是 “演奏”,需加 the;球类 / 棋牌是 “进行运动 / 游戏”,不加 the。
2. 避免混淆 “play” 的含义:play 用于乐器时表 “演奏”,用于球类 / 棋牌时表 “参与运动或游戏”,如:He plays the drums in a band.(他在乐队里打鼓。)He plays badminton every weekend.(他每周打羽毛球。)
3. 复数形式的乐器 / 球类仍遵循规则,如:play the drums(打鼓)、play table tennis(打乒乓球)。
