On July 23, 2020, Tianwen1, China's first Mars probe(探测器), was sent into space. It is expected to travel seven months to reach the orbit(轨道) of Mars.
Tianwen1 is made up of an orbiter(人造卫星), a lander(着陆器) and a rover(火星车).The orbiter will go into the orbit around Mars, while the lander carrying the rover will slow down and finally land. The rover will drive around to probe on Mars.
It's not easy to send a probe to Mars, because Mars is far away from the Earth.According to scientists, the best time to send the probe to Mars is between midJuly and midAugust this year when the distance between the Earth and Mars is the shortest in their orbits. The scientists could get the chance every 26 months.
As we all know, Mars is our close neighbor and the most Earthlike planet in solar system(太阳系).It has four seasons, and a day on it lasts 24.62 hours.Scientists even find that there may be life on Mars.So studying Mars can help us understand Mars as well as the Earth better. And sending probes to Mars may even help us build homes there in the future.

I don't know when he came back.
I'm thinking about who is the right person for the position.
He's sure she will win the game.
that;if/whether;who/whom/whose/which及其疑问词ever结构;how/why/when/where及其疑问词ever结构。
I think that it's very interesting to experience a different culture.
He didn't know that he had been to the lecture last night.
1.that作learn,suggest,explain,agree,wonder,prove,mean,state,feel,hold等动词的宾语时。如:She explains that Jack did do the job by himself yesterday.
She thinks (that) we did a good job and that things will get better soon.
3.宾语从句中的主语是指示代词this/that/those/these作主语的定语时。如:We're glad that this book helps you a lot in your research.
He told me that he really liked my lessons.
That he is sure to help, I believe.
She made it clear that he was the one who was in charge of the company.
(二)if/whether引导的宾语从句
当宾语从句要表达“是否”的含义时,连接词就用if/whether,其主句的谓语动词往往是know,ask,care,wonder,find out等词。如:
He didn't know if/whether she would attend the meeting tomorrow.
She's very curious about whether he is a teacher.
2.在具有选择意义,又有or或or not时,尤其是直接与or not连用时,往往用whether(if...or not也可以使用)。如:I don't know whether/if he comes from England or not.
Whether the book is hers or not, he's not sure.
I don't think that it's a good idea to go for a picnic on such a windy day, is it?
We didn't expect that he would come here so early in the morning, would he?
He suggested that we (should) start early tomorrow.
The officer ordered that the soldiers (should) never give in to the enemy.
1.—Could you tell me when we ________ (hand) in our book report?

2.The teacher is wondering what ________ (happen) to the little girl. She is crying sadly.
3.My grandfather told us that the early bird ________ (catch) the worm.
4.The radio says there ________ (be) showers next week.

6.Could you tell me how soon the visitors from the USA ________ (arrive) here?
答案:1.will hand 2.has happened 3.catches 4.will be 5.were playing 6.will arrive

5.What can we learn about Mars?
A.Mars is very similar to the Earth.
B.There are three seasons on Mars.
C.A day on Mars is shorter than that on Earth.
D.Scientists have found living things on Mars.
根据最后一段中的“As we all know,Mars is our close neighbor and the most Earthlike planet in solar system.” 根据最后一段中的“It has four seasons, and a day on it lasts 24.62 hours.” 因此排除B和C项;根据最后一段中的“Scientists even find that there may be life on Mars.”

Mobile “capsule car”
What is the thing? It is a driveless vehicle(无人驾驶车)called UrbanLoop. It travels on electrified rails(通电的轨道).On May 28, UrbanLoop broke a world record for lowest fuel(燃料) use for a rail vehicle in Tomblaine, eastern France.
On that day, UrbanLoop travelled 1 kilometre while using just 0.05 kwh of energy. This is the same energy used by a desktop computer in one hour.
UrbanLoop can carry up to two people and moves at a speed of 60 kilometers per hour.Users just pick their destination(目的地)on their mobile phone. In no time, they will get QR code(扫描码) and they can use it to get on UrbanLoop. It will then bring them to their destination without any stops.
“The idea of it is to have a big enough number of small vehicles so that users move without waiting, without stopping, without correspondence(沟通), ”said Jeanphilippe Mangeot, director of the UrbanLoop project.
Engineering(工程学)students from France's Lorraine region(地区)are working on it.They hope to put it into use by 2024 so that it can be used during the Paris Summer Olympics that year.

A.It moves fast.
B.It needs a little energy.
C.It can pick up many people.
D.It makes people feel good.
由第二段“On that day, UrbanLoop travelled 1 kilometre while using just 0.05 kwh of energy. This is the same energy used by a desktop computer in one hour.”
8.Users can pick where they want to go ________ .
A.on UrbanLoop
B.on the Internet
C.at the station
D.through the mobile phone
由第三段“Users just pick their destination(目的地)on their mobile phone.”
9.How is it for users to get to their destination by UrbanLoop?
A.Hard. B.Slow.
C.Easy. D.Interesting.
由第三段“It will then bring them to their destination without any stops.”
10.What can we learn from the passage?
