The student looked up and said, “It’s too high! I can’t reach it.”
“Ask a friend. Maybe he can help,” the teacher suggested.

Artificial intelligence, or AI, is becoming more and more important in our lives. You may have heard of it, but do you really know what it is?
AI is like giving computers a “smart brain”. It can learn from a lot of information. For example, it can look at thousands of pictures to learn what a cat looks like. Then, it can tell you if a new picture shows a cat or not.
AI is everywhere around us. In our phones, AI can help with spelling mistakes when we type. On the Internet, AI can show us ads that we might be interested in. In hospitals, AI can help doctors find problems in people’s bodies faster. Some cars can even drive by themselves with the help of AI! They use AI to “see” the road and other cars.
But AI also brings some problems. Sometimes, the information it learns might not be right. And we need to think about how to use AI in a good way. For example, if AI controls cars, what will happen if it makes a mistake?
Even though there are problems AI is changing our world for the better. It makes our lives easier and helps us do things we couldn’t do before. Maybe in the future, AI will do even more amazing things!
13. What can AI do when we type on our phones?
A. Make our voice louder. B. Help with spelling mistakes.
C. Turn on the flashlight. D. Take a photo immediately.
14. How do self-driving cars use AI?

15. Why does AI sometimes bring problems?
A. Because it is too small. B. Because it is too expensive.
C. Because it uses too much electricity. D. Because the information it learns may be wrong.
16. What does the writer think of the future of AI?
