Read on for some manners you should learn. 1 When someone visits your parents, you need to say hello to him warmly. Maybe you feel uncomfortable shaking hands with him, but you should still look into his eyes or give him a friendly smile. 2 After a birthday party or a dinner, you should help sweep the floor, do the dishes or take out the rubbish. Even if you don’t make the mess, you are supposed to help put away things, for you benefit from using those things. 3 Listen to people when they tell you what they don’t like, whether it’s a friend who doesn’t want a hug, a cousin who doesn’t want to share his snacks, or a parent who doesn’t think you can open the bathroom door without knocking. 4 There are plenty of things that you can do for others, like holding doors open, giving up seats to the old, or letting someone go first in line. These not only show your understanding of what others need, but also help society run smoothly. 5 Sometimes you don’t want to talk to others simply because you don’t like them. You don’t have to be good friends with everyone, but you should notice people around you. Just think about how you would feel if all the classmates were invited to a party except you.
