Problems 1.Have difficulty fully understanding and analyze complex literary devices like exaggeration and metaphor used in Li Bai's poems.; 2.Have difficulty interpreting the social - historical context's influence on Li Bai's poetry. 教学目标： Language ability 1.Find out the textual structure of the essay ; 2.Sum up the causes that formed Li Bai’s romantic style in his poetry; 3. Give a list of the features of Li Bai’s romantic style; Learning ability Obtain the main information and details of the text by scanning and skimming. Thinking quality Appreciate Li Bai’s poems and recognize his romantic style. Cultural awareness Briefly introduce Li Bai and his poems and cultivate the habit of reciting poems. 教学重难点： 1. Learn to appreciate Li Bai’s poems and grasp his poetry style. 2. Understand the translation and interpretation of Li Bai’s poems. 3. Appreciate Li Bai’s romantic style of poetry. 教学过程： Step 1:Lead-in 1. T asks Ss to guess who the poet is according to the video. 1.)Who is the poet? Li Bai 2.)What is the name of this poem? 将进酒--- Invitation to wine 2. Have students match the famous Chinese poems with corresponding the English description. 【设计意图：利用观看李白的诗，引出话题，并通过匹配游戏激活学生背景知识，形成阅读期待。】 Step 2: Pre-reading T asks Ss to predict what the article will talk about according to the title. 1) Why are his poems romantic? 2) What contribute to his romantic style? ... 【设计意图：通过预测文章能让学生初步了解文章的主题、结构和大致内容。】 Step 3: While-reading 1.Fast reading Have Ss read the essay and then fill in the mind map to get the structure of the passage. 2.Careful reading Activity 1: Have Ss read paragraphs 2 to 4 and find out the information about what contributes to Li Bai’s romantic style.
