You can put a stamp on it, you can write an address on it, and you can send it through the mail. No, it’s not a package (包裹). It’s the amazing coconut (椰子)! The coconut is different from most other fruits because every part of it is useful. People have been using coconuts in many different ways. Here are some of them.
One exciting use of the coconut is as a kind of energy. Scientists are working on using coconuts for energy because they are cheap and clean. Coconut oil has already been made into fuel (燃料). It can power cars, trucks, ships and many more.
Students at Baylor University find that coconut husks (外壳) can take in water very well. So mixing coconut husks with dry soil (土壤) helps the soil to hold onto more of the water. The students also find that coconut husks can take the place of plastic in some cases. If this is possible, it will help people use less plastic.
The husk of the coconut is a perfect package. It protects the coconut from harm. That’s why some countries allow people to send the coconut without any packaging. Each year, tourists post about 3,000 of these “coconut postcards”.
Coconuts grow naturally in over 80 countries of the world. They require only sun and proper rain. No special care is needed. Every year, more than 61 million tons of coconuts are produced. It is not surprising, then, that people want to find so many uses for the coconut.

The Maori arrived in New Zealand from Polynesian (波利尼西亚) islands about a thousand years ago. They were the first people to live in New Zealand.
In the late 18th century, Europeans came to live in New Zealand. At that time, the population of the Maori was maybe 250,000 in New Zealand. Over the next one hundred years, wars and disease killed many Maori people. By the end of the 19th century, there were only about 40,000 Maori people left. During this time, the Maori also lost much of their land to the Europeans. Many of them were afraid that they might lose their traditions and language too, but this did not happen.
Today the Maori population is increasing. There are about 500,000 Maori people in New Zealand. Most live like other New Zealanders, but they are keeping the Maori language and traditions alive. There are now Maori radio and television stations. Many schools teach in the Maori language. Nearly one half of Maori language speakers are 25 years old or younger.
Maori culture is also alive and well. At the center of Maori culture is the “marae”. This is a special place for ceremonies and meetings. Today the number of marae in New Zealand is increasing. Many of the new marae are in the cities. Now people in the cities can meet and learn about their Maori traditions.
Today most New Zealand cities have Maori festivals each year. Among festival activities are competitions in speaking, dancing and singing. Children practice for months. Then all the Maori in the area arrive to watch the competitions and see who wins.
The Maori have gone through hard times. Today they live a comfortable, modern life. They keep their cultural traditions alive, because they have passed and are passing them on to their children.

Why do We Yawn?
Do you yawn? There are about 20 reasons that scientists think are possible for yawning after research. They do not know exactly why yawning happens, but they do know many facts about yawning.
We know that everyone yawns in the same way. First you open your mouth slowly. Your mouth stays open for about five seconds. You take in a lot of air and then push it out. Then you quickly close your mouth. We also know that yawning is contagious. When you see someone yawn, you yawn, too.
Many people say they yawn because they are bored or tired. That might be true. People do often yawn before they sleep and after they wake up. However, we know that people also yawn when they are excited or nervous. Olympic runners, for example, often yawn before a race. Why is that? In 2007, scientists found that a yawn can help a warm brain cool down.
Some scientists believe that yawning makes you notice things more quickly. When you yawn, you breathe deeply. You also stretch (强化) the muscles (肌肉) in your face, mouth, and neck. Your eardrums stretch, too. Maybe this helps you to be quicker to notice things.
In some countries, people think yawning is not nice. People put their hands over their mouths to cover a yawn. In other countries, people think yawning is healthy. They think that opening the mouth very big can let good things in. When they breathe out, they think that bad things go out of the body with the air.
Scientists do not spend much time studying yawning. That is probably because yawning does not hurt. It is just something we do.

Improvements in technology often happen overnight. Some gadgets get smaller and faster. Others are replaced (代替) by newer things like smartphones. They can do hundreds of things. Here are some old gadgets that people used to use.
①________
Do you have a landline at home? These are phones that people plug (插入) into their living room walls. Mobile phones didn’t use to be so common at that time, so most families had a landline. But landlines only worked at home. What did people do when they were outside and needed to call someone? They looked for a pay phone! Then, most people had their own mobile phones and many homes no longer had landlines.
②________
People today store plenty of information online, or on SD cards. But in the 1980s and 1990s, people used to use floppy disks. The first floppy disks were large, expensive, and not very useful — each disk could store just 175 KB of information! Later, floppy disks got smaller and better. But even the best ones could only hold 1.44 MB.You would need three or four disks just for one song, and about 22,000 disks to match the storage (储存空间) available on a 32 GB phone!
③________
It’s easy to take photos today. People often have thousands just on their phones! But photos used to be expensive, and people took fewer of them. To take a photo, you had to buy a roll of film. This allowed you to take about 30 photos. After finishing the roll, you left it at a shop. The shop developed the photos to make them be seen, which you could collect after a few days.
Technology changes all the time, and the gadgets we use today will one day be old. What do you think will be next to disappear?

Eight hundred years ago, a man in southern Turkey invented an amazing clock. It was more than 7 meters high. At its base(基座)was a life-size model elephant. Every half hour, something amazing happened. The whole clock came alive: Model birds, dragons, and people started to move.
The clock’s inventor was an engineer named al-Jazari. He lived in Turkey. Al-Jazari was probably one of the greatest engineers in history. Some historians call him “the father of modern-day engineering.”
We know about al-Jazari mostly from a book that he wrote. ________ They include clocks and hand-washing machines. The book also has drawings that show how each machine works.
Many everyday things today-from toys to car engines(发动机)-still use al-Jazari’s ideas. Without his machines with moving parts, we might not have modern-day robots.
Today, it is still possible to see what al-Jazari’s elephant cock looked like. A full-size working model is in Dubai’s Ibn Battuta Mall. There, every half hour, al-Jazari’s most amazing invention comes to life once again.
How Does the Elephant Clock Work?
A bowl with a small hole floats(浮)in a water tank(水箱)inside the elephant’s body. As the bowl slowly sinks(下沉), it pulls a rope that moves a human figure. His moving pen shows the number of minutes past the hour.
Every half hour, the water bowl becomes full and sinks completely. This causes a ball to fall from the top of the clock. The movement of the ball causes a phoenix to move and make a sound.
The ball then drops out of a falcon’s mouth into the mouth of a Chinese dragon. The weight of the ball causes the dragon’s head to move down and the dragon’s tail pulls the water bowl back up.
Finally, the ball drops out of the dragon’s mouth and into a vase. As the ball lands in the vase, the elephant driver moves and makes a sound. The cycle begins again until there are no more ball in the top of the clock.

The Longtaitou Festival, also known as the Eryue’er Festival, is a traditional Chinese festival. It always falls on the second day of the second lunar month. The name means “dragon raising its head”, carrying a sense of hope.
In Chinese ancient farming culture, this festival holds great importance. People believe that after the Longtaitou Festival, the rain will gradually increase. It is said that on this day the dragon king who is in control of rain will wake up from hibernation (冬眠) and lift his head. It marks the start of the busy farming season.
The celebration of the Longtaitou Festival is rich in traditions. One of the most well-known customs is getting a haircut. Many people believe that cutting their hair in the first lunar month will bring bad fortune. And having a haircut on the Longtaitou Festival can bring good luck and success all the year. In some areas, dumplings, spring rolls, wontons and popcorn are all given dragon names on this day. Noodles are called dragon’s beard or longxu. Dumplings are dragon’s ears or long’er. Spring rolls are dragon’s scales or longlin. Wontons are dragon’s eyes or longyan. And popcorn is called dragon’s seeds or longzi. It’s said that eating these foods can bring good luck.

How the Brain Cleans Itself
According to some researchers, the brain is very active during sleep. One reason is probably that the brain appears to clean itself during sleeping hours. This idea has gotten the attention of researchers. This is because losing a good night’s sleep can cause people’s thinking to be unclear, while a lasting lack of sleep is believed to increase the risk of a serious brain illness. Then how does the brain clean itself?
Over 12 years ago, scientists at the University of Rochester first reported finding a system in the brain. A water-like substance (物质) from the brain travels through channels (管道) near blood vessels (血管) to carry waste out of the brain.
According to the study, the accumulation (堆积) of beta-amyloids (β淀粉样蛋白) has something to do with problems in the brain. When scientists injected (注射) mice with beta-amyloids, they left the brain faster when the animals were sleeping. It is not clear exactly how the system works. However, some research has shown that the movement of blood vessels might help move the waste-clearing substance where it needs to go.
However, studying this system in humans has been challenging. Regular MRI scans (扫描检查) can show some of the channels, but they can’t show how the system works.
To overcome this problem, the research team at Oregon Health & Science University injected a substance into five patients. It “lit up” during MRI scans 24 to 48 hours later. It was seen moving through the brain using the channels as in the earlier research on mice.
This discovery is meaningful and will likely lead to further research on how brain waste clearance is linked to human health. “Researchers are now planning to measure (测量) glymphatic function (类淋巴功能) in people,” said Dr. Jeff Iliff who has helped lead the research. But he isn’t sure of the result. Besides the influence of sleep, animal studies show that a blood pressure drug might improve glymphatic (淋巴) clearing. Jeff and his workmates plan to study this drug in a group of patients. It seems that larger studies in healthy people are also needed.

In China, more and more adults are becoming overweight. In fact, 34.8% of adults are overweight and 14.1% are obese (肥胖的). The number of obese people is growing faster than the number of those who are just overweight. Experts say that each year there are 5.4% more obese adults in China.
Zhang Zhongtao, who works at Beijing Friendship Hospital, said that obesity was causing big health and money problems around the world. It is now a serious public health problem in China. By the year of 2030, it is expected that China will spend about 22% of all its healthcare money on problems related to being overweight or obese.
At a meeting, Zhang asked people to pay more attention to obesity and how to manage weight. He believes that the government and society do not focus enough on this problem. “We hope to work with public charities to give help to obese patients who need to lose weight medically but can’t pay for it.” he said.
He also explained why people become overweight. It is mainly because they eat more energy than they run out of. In the north of China, people like to eat noodles, and in the south, they prefer rice. Both foods have carbohydrates (碳水化合物), but eating noodles can make you gain more weight. Climate (气候) also affects people in the north. Because it’s colder, they like to eat foods with more calories, like fried chicken and chocolate, to stay warm.

Taking trips to places with fewer people and beautiful natural scenery has become a trend in China. In other words, rural (乡村的) tourism is gaining popularity among Chinese tourists. Why? Here are some reasons.
Wang Shang works for a Beijing-based company that helps organize countryside tours. She believes that experiencing a different lifestyle is an important reason why citizens travel to rural areas. Most of the visitors from cities are used to buying food in supermarkets. But in rural areas, they can easily get them on farms. They are used to watching high buildings and busy traffic. But in rural areas, they can enjoy more peaceful and clean rivers or mountains.
Tourists’ expectations for rural tourism are not limited to enjoying natural scenery and experiencing the countryside life. Cao Yiqin, a 26-year-old tourist, told us that rural trips help her not only “enjoy the natural beauty” but also “reduce stress by escaping the busy city life and getting closer to nature”.
Apart from the above reasons, the government encourages cultural companies and their employees to go to the countryside to help with local business. They have brought some great changes to the rural areas, including the renovation (翻新) of the buildings, the spread of rural culture, the processing of agricultural products, etc.
The trend has also been pushed by some Chinese Internet stars. An Internet star has posted many videos of traditional Chinese rural life on the Internet and attracted a large number of viewers.

Living in a smart city means you are sharing information all the time. When you use an online map, the map will know where you are. When you watch a video online, the website will know what you like to watch. When you chat with someone on a game app, it will know who your friends are. These can make your life easier. But sometimes, others can get your information and misuse it. This can be dangerous. Here are some ways you can try to keep your information safe.
Stop Apps from Tracking (追踪) You
When you download an app, the app will ask if it can track you. Always choose “no”. Sometimes, ads appear suddenly. Don’t click (点击) on them, or the app may get more information about you.
▲
When someone sends you a friend request, you should take a look at his or her personal information. Do you have any friends in common? Where do they live? You should also check your privacy settings. So, a person can’t see anything you don’t want him or her to see.
Think Before Scanning (扫描) Your Face
Facial recognition (人脸识别) can help to find out who you are. But it is not always necessary to use the technology because it can give out your personal information. You can scan your face if you want to get a new passport at the police station. But do not do it when you get into a shopping mall, restaurant or museum.

The Pythagorean theorem (毕达哥拉斯定理) is a big math idea. It tells us that in a right triangle (直角三角形), the square of the longest side is equal (等于) to the sum of the squares of the other two sides. This is shown as a2+b2=c2. In school, it allows students to work out the length of the third side of a right triangle when the other two are known. In real life, it helps planes find the shortest way to fly. People who design buildings use this math idea too.
When this idea first appeared, many mathematicians (数学家) tried to show it was true in different ways, and there are about 370 different ways to do this. In 1927, a mathematician named Elisha Loomis said that proving this with trigonometry (三角学) was impossible. His reason was that you can’t prove (证明) an idea is true by using the idea itself. However, a mathematician named Jason Zimba first proved it successfully in 2009. Two years ago, two high school students, Ne’ Kiya Jackson and Calcea Johnson, also found a way to prove the Pythagorean theorem based on trigonometry.
In March 2023, the two showed their work at a math meeting. Publishing their findings was challenging, and they had to learn new skills. Encouraged by Zimba’s proof (证明), they developed more proofs. One of them includes filling a large triangle with smaller triangles and using math to find side lengths. This amazed other mathematicians. Jackson and Johnson also left five proofs for others to explore, which gives a starting point for more research. Their journey shows that exploring math is timeless and exciting, and the new way of thinking encourages more young mathematicians to be creative and challenge the norm (常态).
1.How does the writer start his passage in Paragraph 1?
A.By giving examples. B.By listing numbers.
C.By telling the differences. D.By asking a question.
2.Why was it thought to be impossible to prove the Pythagorean theorem with trigonometry?

How do you deal with cardboard boxes? Have you ever made good use of them again? Don’t just throw them away. Most people think cardboard boxes are only junk, but they are wrong. Cardboard boxes can be reused in many ways. They can be just about anything you like! All you have to do is use your imagination.
A small cardboard box makes a great jewelry (首饰) box. First, cut a small box in half. This will allow it to open and close like a jewelry box. Next, cover the inside with a soft cloth. This will make a soft place for your jewelry to sit on. Then you can cover the outside of the box with another cloth. This will give it a better appearance.
A medium cardboard box makes a great basketball hoop (篮球筐). First, cut the top and bottom out of the box. Second, fix the box to a tree or a wall inside your house. You can now shoot hoops at home.
A large cardboard box makes a great pet house. First, cut the top and bottom out of the cardboard box. Next, glue them together like a house and make sure that they cover the top of the box. Then, cut a small “door” in the front of the box. This will be a great house for your pet, won’t it?

As Beijing’s cold winter comes, some restaurants are offering free food for low-paid workers, including delivery drivers (外卖员), taxi drivers and street cleaners—who keep the city going.
For example, Wang Hong, owner of a Beijing-style barbecue restaurant in Chaoyang district, has been offering free drinks to delivery drivers and street cleaners since 2012. More recently, he started a free meals project under the help of the neighborhood. For him, it’s personal.
“When I first came to the city, I had nothing. People helped me even though they didn’t know me,” he said. “This is my way of giving back to society and teaching my child to be grateful.”
Wang is not alone. Yushiji, a chain of restaurants specializing in lamb soup, is helping by offering discounted (打折的) meals to people in need. For just 12 yuan, customers can enjoy a hot, hearty meal that usually costs much more.
Delivery workers like Fan Xingang, 41, who has been riding for 10 years, usually work for at least 10 hours a day in the cold winter.
“My colleagues told me about the place offering discounted meals. It’s not just good for the low price,” Fan said. “It’s the respect and kindness they show us.”

①If you have a chance to go to Finland, you will probably be surprised to find how “foolish” the Finnish people are.
②Take the taxi drivers for example. Taxis in Finland are mostly high-class Benz with a fare of two US dollars a kilometer. You can go anywhere in one, tell the driver to drop you at any place, say that you have some business to attend to, and then walk off without paying your fare. The driver would not be annoyed or worried.
③The dining rooms in all big hotels not only serve their guests, but also serve outside diners (就餐者). Hotel guests have their meals free, so they just go to the free dining rooms to have their meals. The most they would do to show their good faith is to wave their registration (登记) card to the waiter. With such a loose (松散的) check, you can easily use any old registration card to take a couple of friends to dine free of charge.
④The Finnish workers are paid by the hour. They are very much on their own as soon as they have agreed with the boss on the pay. From then on, they just say how many hours they have worked and they will be paid accordingly.
⑤With so much carelessness in everyday life, surely Finland must be a heaven to those who love to take “petty advantages (小便宜)”. But the strange thing is, all the taxi passengers would always come back to pay their fare after they have attended to their business, not a single outsider has ever been found in the free hotel dining rooms. And workers always give an honest account of the exact hours they put in.
⑥As the Finns always act honestly in everything they do, living in such a society has turned everyone into a real “gentleman”. In a society of such high moral (道德的) practice, what need is there for people to be on guard against others?
1.What might happen when taking a taxi in Finland?
A.Taxis can be stopped at any time on the way. B.The cost of a Benz is higher than other taxis.
C.The driver will feel angry if unpaid on time. D.Only Benz can be used as common taxis.
2.Which of the following is true according to this text?
A.Finns love to take “pretty advantages”.
B.Taxi drivers can get paid after several asking.
C.Outsiders are often invited to have a free meal.
D.Finnish workers keep very honest records of their working hours.
3.Why are Finnish people called “foolish” at the beginning of the passage?
A.Because their taxis are very expensive. B.Because hotel guests can eat for free.
C.Because workers decide their own working hours.
D.Because their systems seems easy to cheat.
4.What can we learn from the underlined sentence in the last paragraph?
A.Practice makes perfect. B.High efforts always lead to great gains.
C.Honesty is a good rule of society. D.Nothing is impossible to a willing heart.
5.Which of the following best shows the structure of the passage?
A. B. C. D.

When everyone in China is getting ready for the traditional Chinese New Year, a Chinese AI app is shining around the world. The Chinese AI app DeepSeek became the most popular free app on the Apple Store, followed by ChatGPT from Open AI, Gemini from Google, and Llama 2 from Meta.
DeepSeek has great technology and brings big changes to our life, especially in learning and working. Its language models can answer lots of different questions well. In learning, students can use it to get more knowledge. When they have difficult problems in subjects like history, math or science, they can ask DeepSeek for help. It’s just like having a helpful teacher all the time. At work, it makes employees better at analyzing data (分析数据). Marketers can use it to guess what will happen in the market, and writers can find ideas from it to write better things.
However, while DeepSeek gives us so much convenience, there are also problems. Some students depend too much on it without thinking. This is a really serious problem. In fact, with the growth of AI, we need to pay more attention to improving our creativity. In the future, jobs that need people to do the same thing over and over again will be taken by AI. Only those who are really creative can succeed. For example, in art design, designers should use their own ideas to make great works instead of AI works. In science, researchers need to think of new ideas to find out things we don’t know.
With this in mind, we should see AI as a useful tool, not something that takes the place of our own thinking. We must work on developing our creativity by keeping learning and practicing to get ready for the future.
1.What can people do with DeepSeek according to Paragraph 2?

C.By listing numbers. D.By asking questions.
4.What would be the best structure of passage?
A. B. C. D.
5.What’s the writer’s purpose of writing the passage?
A.To introduce great advantages of DeepSeek.
B.To show the rising of China’s AI technology.
C.To inspire people to develop creativity to prepare for the future.

Do you wear glasses? If yes, would you like to have surgery (手术) so you don’t need to wear them anymore? Many believe that surgery can fix the problem forever, but that’s not always the case.
Most people wear glasses because of nearsightedness (近视). When we see things, light comes into our eyes and focuses on the retina (视网膜). But for people with nearsightedness, in their eyes, light focuses in front of the retina. This makes things far away seem blurry but close things seem clear.
Surgery can treat this. Xu Jiayi, a 19-year-old student from Beijing, had the surgery five months ago during the winter vacation. “After the surgery, I can see very clearly. Life is more convenient without having to wear eyeglasses,” said Xu.
However, the process is not as easy as you might think. Xu said that her eyes hurt badly right after the surgery. Also, she needed to use medicine for at least three months. “At first, there were four types of medicines, then the number became six,” she said. These medicines help the eye heal (康复) and prevent eye problems.
Moreover, if you don’t look after your eye health well, nearsightedness may return even after surgery. “Because I use my eyes too much both at work and at home, things have started to look blurry to me again,” said Du Anni, 32, who had the surgery nine years ago.
Instead of fixing nearsightedness, “the surgery just lets you ‘take off your glasses’,” said Wei Wenbin from the Beijing Tongren Hospital in a speech in July. He said that the surgery doesn’t fix the changes in the eye’s structure.
1.How does the writer introduce the topic in the first paragraph?
A.By giving the example. B.By making the comparison.
C.By asking questions. D.By telling the stories.
2.Why do people with nearsightedness can’t see things clearly far away?
A.Because the light can’t get into the eyes.
B.Because the light focuses in front of the retina.
C.Because the light doesn’t focus on the retina.
D.Because the light focuses at the back of the retina.
3.What happens to Xu Jiayi after the surgery?
A.Her eyes don’t hurt any more after the surgery.
B.She has to use four kinds of medicine for two months.
C.Her eyes’ structure has changed a lot after the surgery.
D.Her life becomes convenient without wearing eyeglasses.
4.What can we learn from the last two paragraphs?
A.Nearsightedness may return if we don’t take care of our eyes.
B.The surgery can fix the changes in the eye’s structure completely.
C.As long as you have the right surgery, nearsightedness won’t come back.
D.The surgery just lets you take off glasses but you still can’t see things clearly.
5.What would be the best title for this passage?
A.Surgery Does Harm to Eyes. B.Are Eyesight Problems Solved?
C.Medicines Heal Nearsightedness. D.Nearsightedness Is Common for Teenagers.

A lot of people take up dancing as a hobby after school. In fact, dancing has been considered one of the best exercises to fight bad feelings in recent years. Why?
Dancing, which involves (包含) moving the body to different kinds of music, helps our bodies produce much endorphin (内啡肽), a chemical (化学物质) that makes us feel relaxed and happy.
While simply listening to music or doing sports can cheer us up, mixing them together gives better results. In a study, a group of German scientists tested some patients under three conditions: a group dancing with music, a group just listening to music, and a group riding bikes without music. The results showed that the first group were the least depressed.
Dancing can bring people together, too. Tango, Latin or other social dancing require us to move with others, which can improve our sense of social bonding (联系), according to IBSA, a Swiss scientific foundation.

However, dancing helps you focus on the present, connect with your body, and free your mind for a while, as reported by Psych Central, a mental health news website.

Recently, the topic “Why are cinema seats usually red?” has caused hot discussions on the Internet again. Many netizens said, “I didn’t even notice the color of the seats before.”
One idea is that cinema seats are red because they keep the color tradition of ancient theaters. Early theater seats were mainly for the royal and noble people (皇家贵族). They liked the gorgeous red color, so later cinema seats followed this tradition. But it makes people wonder. Cinemas are no longer just for the royal and noble. People’s tastes are becoming more various. Why aren’t there seats in all kinds of colors in cinemas?
In fact, many cinema seats are designed to be red to make our movie-watching experience better. When the indoor light gets dark, red is the first color that we can’t see. For example, in bright light, the red flowers of geraniums (天竺葵) stand out against the green background. But when the light becomes dim, the flowers quickly change from bright red to a darker color. The green plants behind also lose their vividness. but they fade (褪色) more slowly. So they become more noticeable than the red flowers. When the light gets even weaker, the whole scene turns black and white.
The same is true for the movie-watching experience in cinemas. As the cinema lights dim, the seats, walls and curtains (usually red too) soon turn black. This helps us focus on the screen and enjoy the movie more.

B.A yawn can let good things in.
C.A yawn can help a warm brain cool down.
D.A yawn can stretch the muscles in their faces.
3.What is the main idea of Paragraph 5?
A.Reasons for yawning. B.Advantages of yawning.
C.Disadvantages of yawning. D.Different ideas about yawning.
4.What can we probably infer from the passage?
A.People use different ways to yawn.

A.Trigonometry is only for measuring angles.
B.The theorem doesn’t work with trigonometry.
C.Mathematicians didn’t know much about triangles.
D.Someone thought you can’t use the same idea to prove itself.
3.Who first proved the Pythagorean theorem with trigonometry?
A.Jason Zimba. B.Elisha Loomis.
C.Jason Zimba and Nuno Luzia. D.Ne’ Kiya Jackson and Calcea Johnson.
4.What does the underlined word “This” in Paragraph 3 refer to?
A.Guessing something. B.Publishing their findings.
C.Using math to find side lengths. D.Filling a small triangle with larger triangles.
5.What’s the writer’s purpose of writing the passage?
A.To encourage students to explore maths.

A. B. C. D.
【答案】1.A 2.D 3.D 4.C 5.C

Dancing also helps people let go of bad feelings. Studies have found that depression often has to do with sadness about the past or worries about the future. However, dancing helps you focus on the present, connect with your body, and free your mind for a while, as reported by Psych Central, a mental health news website.
Studies showed that if people enjoy any kind of music, dancing can be a helpful way to reduce stress.
Sure, besides red seats, some netizens said they’ve seen black seats. Not all cinemas use red seats, and black seats are also good. But you seldom see green or blue seats in cinemas. These colors take too long to fade and may break our attention while watching movies.
