Unit 2 Travel around 课时教学设计 第 4 课时教学设计 课题 Reading for writing;write to a friend about a travel plan 课型 新授课 1.教学内容分析 该板块的活动主题是: “写信告诉朋友旅行计划(write to a friend about a travel plan)”,包括两个文本。第一个文本以电子邮件的形式介绍了作者--外国学生Richard的西安旅行计划。作者运用了现在进行时来表示将来的计划与安排,内容包括旅行的主要目的、重点景观、其他景点和旅行安排(出发时间、出行方式等)。该文本的语言轻松随意,是年轻朋友之间的交流,并且使用了富有情感的表达,例如:“...it is an amazing sight, and I can't wait to go.”、“To me,the story ofthe Terracotta Army is almost unbelievable.”、“It's amazing that ..."、“My dad and Iare both looking forward to going to...”,以此突出作者对此次旅行的无限期待。第二个文本则是关于西安兵马俑的宣传页介绍了中华文化的瑰宝,被称为“世界八大奇迹之一”的兵马俑的基本情况,为学生提供有关这个旅行计划的背景知识。 2.学习者分析 通过前几个课时的学习,学生学习了有关如何为旅行做准备、活动安排、景点描写等,但对于旅行计划的行文结构、文本特征和语言特点还不十分了解,学生的书面表达能力(遣词造句、谋篇布局等)也都比较薄弱。 3.教学目标与核心素养 通过本节课的教学,学生能够: 1.通过阅读Richard写给Xiao Li的电子邮件和兵马俑的宣传页了解西安的重点景观和其他景点,增进对以兵马俑为代表的灿烂的中华文化的认识并为之自豪; 2.分析、提取旅行计划的文本特征及语言特点,懂得如何礼貌得体地回复邮件; 3.写一封陈述自己的旅行计划的电子邮件。 4.学习重点难点 1.引导学生掌握旅行计划的文本结构特征及语言特点。 2.撰写一封礼貌得体、条理清晰、内容丰富的旅行计划的电子邮件。 5.学习活动设计 教学活动 设计意图 环节一:Lead-in(free talk) 学生活动 1 Ss have free topic-related discussion over the following questions. (1)Which city in China is the most popular among foreign visitors? Why? (2)If you are going to visit Xi'an, how will you plan your travel? To arouse Ss’ interest, activate their background knowledge and get them ready for class. 环节二:Pre-writing 学生活动 2(一读-内容&信息) *Ss read Text I for content and useful information by finishing the following tasks: (1)Find out some Xi'an and the Terracotta information about Army. Richard's plan such as where to go,when to go,whom to go with,how to go etc. (2)Analyze the characteristics of Richard's travel plan. *Ss read Text 2 and find out the basic information about the Terracotta Army and what impresses them most. To ensure that Ss understand the content of Text 1 and finishing the following Text 2, and help Ss obtain necessary information about Xi'an and the Terracotta information about Army. 学生活动 3(二读-框架&语言) Ss read Text l for structure and language by finishing the following tasks: (1) Underline the words and phrases and phrases used to express emotion in the email. Then complete the second table on P31. (2) Study the structure of the email and summarize it in the first table on P31. To help Ss to summarize the structure of the email,a travel plan and the language to express one's eagerness or excitement. 环节三:While-writing 学生活动 4(讨论) Ss have discussions in groups about what to write in their travel plan,including the destination,main purpose, other plans, transport,schedule,final thoughts etc. To prepare contents Ss need in their writing practice. 学生活动 5(写作) Ss write a reply to Richard about their travel plan during the holiday based on the result of their discussion. To practice writing a travel plan and learn how to reply to a friend's email politely. 环节四:Post-writing 学生活动 6(同伴互评) Ss exchange their first drafts, make comments on their partner's works and give them advice according to the checklist. 学生活动 7(教师评价) T shows one piece of writing and give comments. To assess partner's works and understand the standard of good writing better. To demonstrate student's works and encourage peer learning. 环节五:summary&homework(总结&作业) T summarizes what has been taught in the lesson. T assigns homework. T summarizes what has been taught in the whole unit. To summarize what Ss have learned in this lesson. To consolidate what Ss have learned and ensure they can use it to do new tasks.
