Why do we celebrate festivals? （教学设计） 教材分析： 【What】该板块以“探究节日的庆典与缘由”为活动主题，要求学生通过阅读文本，了解人们庆祝节日的原因。本文从五个方面详细阐述了人们为何庆祝节日：1.文化原因；2.自然因素；3.社会因素；4.经济因素；5.情感需求。说明了节日之所以能在历史长河中得以延续和传承，源于它深厚的文化内涵，凝聚了人类最质朴和真挚的情感。 【How】从体裁上来看，该文本是典型的论说文。文本结构清晰，共有5个段落，每个段落都有中心句，由浅入深，层层递进，清晰地阐述了人们庆祝节日的表层原因和深层原因。 【Why】文本通过对世界各地人们庆祝节日这一现象追根溯源，进而谈论节日的传承与发展变化，目的在于启发学生的深层思考，体会节日文化的内在实质，感悟世界各国人民共同的精神追求和美好愿望。 学情分析： 本课教学对象为高一学生。大多数学生已具备在阅读中获取细节信息的能力，部分学生能用英语自信地表达观点。但是多数学生的对于英语中的修辞手法表达不太熟悉，更不会正确使用。 学生对这个话题不陌生，但是，描述庆祝节日活动时词汇比较匮乏。因此，老师会通过各种头脑风暴介绍世界各地的节日，课堂上老师帮助学生构建有关节日及庆典的词汇语块 Teaching aims： 1. know festivals and why we celebrate them. 2. figure out the main structure of the passage by analyzing the main idea of each paragraph. 3. express our own ideas on the given topics through critical thinking.
