Step 1 Pre-learning
1. Try to understand the passive sentences from the reading Fishing with birds.
The fish are then taken and thrown into a big basket by Damin.
No nets are required for this type of fishing.
Cormorant fishing was once practiced in lots of places in South-East China.
2. Learn more passive sentences by showing pictures.
English is spoken by the most people in the world.
The Great Wall was built by Chinese people.
The trees were planted by students.
Step 2 While-learning
1.Read page39 and then lead students to learn about the differences between the passive voice and the active voice.
2.Learn about the voice in English and do some practices.
