Review words and phrases learned in the last class. Step 2 Pre-reading 1.Watch a video. Lead Ss to watch a video about students’ activities with mobile Internet.And then match together with Ss to get familiar with the activities about Internet. 2.Question: What other things can we do with the Internet? Let Ss think and then share ideas with classmates. Lead in the topic of the passage. 1. Watch a video and get the activities. 2.Think about things we can do with the Internet and share. Watch a video to let Ss be familiar with the activities about the Internet. According to a question about other things we can do with mobile Internet, students’ ability of thinking get improved and the teacher lead in the topic of the passage. Step 3 While-reading 1.Skim and find out how many paragraphs are there. Guide Ss to skim read the passage to find out how many paragraphs are there in the passage. 2.Skim the text and get the structure of the passage. Introduce 2 types of passage structure and guide Ss to skim the passage to get the structure of the passage. 3. Skim the text again and underline the activities related to the Internet according to timeline. Guide the Ss to read the passage again and the find the activities according to the timeline.（Where, When,What) Game(You act and I guess) Play a game. Let Ss to make competitions between groups. The fastest group can get a point. 4. Read and complete.(Scanning) Guide the Ss to scan the passage and find details in the passage to complete the mind-map about things we can do with mobile Internet.And then check the answers by inviting Ss to come to the front desk and fill in blanks. 5.Read and decide.(Scanning) Guide the Ss to read the passge to find details about activities and judge if the descriptions are true of false. 1.Skim the passage and find out how many paragraphs in total in the passage. 2.Skim the text and get the structure of the passage. 3.Find the activities related to the Internet according to timeline. Play a game. 4.Scan the passage and find details to complete the mind-map. 5.Read the passage carefully and judge the descriptions are true or false. Help and develop students’ ability of using reading skills of Skimming to get the structure and Where,When,What in a passage. Let Ss know the activities related to the Internet deeply and bring the class atmosphere alive. Help and develop students’ ability of the reading strategy of scaning reading to find details in a passage. Develop students’ ability of using scanning strategy to find details in the passage and the ability of judgement. Step 4: Post-reading 1. AI classmate video. Play a video about AI classmate telling us activities “we can do”and “we shouldn’t do”.And then let students judge if we can do some activities in the school. 2. Read and write. Let Ss match the activities freely then each groups judge if we can do or shouldn’t do the activities. 3. Thinking. Show some data about the Internet harm to Chinese teenagers and let students think deeply about the Internet. Share the correct values about the Internet with students. 1. Watch the video and think. 2. Match the activities freely the share ideas.Other groups judge together. 3. Think deeply about the Internet and get the correct values for the Internet. Play a video about AI classmate and let Ss think about if we can do everything with the mobile Internet. Get the students discuss and judge.
